Matthew's POV
----------------------------------------------------------------------"OH YOU THINK THAT MATTHEW LIKES ALL OF THIS?!" Mom yelled, with tears on her cheeks.
"OF COURSE NOT. YOU KNOW I NEVER SAY ANYTHING TO START THIS." Dad screamed gesturing, his face was bright red.
"You k- know you always d- do." Mom sobbed and walked away from him.
I could hear them even from outside of the house. Everyday this started and ended again, like a daily cycle that only starts and never ends. I hated it. I wanted to stop them even though I had stopped them only once, which earned me the silent treatment from dad for a month, they kept it going.
I started my BMW and drove to my friend's house. I still owed him the $4. I didn't care though. I just wanted to get away from my own house, a house that's supposed to be cozy and warm, now cold without any warmth left.
"Hey, can I crash?" I said casually.
"Agai- sure." Ryan stated.
He was my best friend. He never lets me down. We had each other's backs. Ryan knew the trouble at my house and he try's to lend me a hand most of the time.
I jumped onto the couch, that I now call a bed and slept.
I saw her - Madison again. Same pajamas, same everything.
"It's you. You're here. You're really here..." I gasped. I was so surprised to see her again.
"Yeah, it really is me again. It's good to see you." Madison quietly said.
Suddenly, I was overrun my coldness. My eyes opened so fast that they hurt.
"What the-" I said.
"I wanted to see your reaction to this-" Ryan said happily.
"SO YOU SPLASHED ME WITH COLD WATER TO WAKE ME UP!" I yelled. "I was dreaming a really good dream."
"Whatever, look at this!" He gestured to a newly bought laptop.
"Cool- now let me go back to sleep." I groaned.
Ryan gave me a look of defeat. I knew he was only trying to cheer me up but I wanted to see Madison again. Even if she wasn't real and I'm not sure that I'll be able to dream of her again.
I tried so hard to go back to sleep again but the cold water had jolted me awake entirely. I imagined the girl in my head again, still urging myself to go back to sleep.
