LGHT Volume One (Discontinued)

I fly through the air, crashing into a small Nevermore. "Birdie, no!!!!" 

I take out my Spell Book and open to a flight spell. I mumble a few words as my body glows a light blue colour. My flight spell works, for once. 

Hayley Ravenfield uses her Semblance to create some earth for better footing. Tony Lightningheart grabs his weapons and uses the blades of his daggers to lodge himself to a tree. Fauna lands on a large boulder with ease. She hears Lance's screams from afar. She takes out her spear, aims, and throws the weapon with great force. she hears a clink in the distance and a "thank you!" 

"I'm sorry!" She calls out. 

I drop to the ground and start to run past all the trees in the Emerald Forest. 

  

Gotta find Blaze, gotta find Crimson, gotta find- "Blaze!" I yell, my voice ringing through the forest. "Crimson!"  

  

This is bad, this is really bad. What if I can't find either of them? What if someone finds them first? Okay, what should I do? Let's see... there's Lance. He's nice. He's funny! But, I don't that he'd do well in a fight... There's Shadow! She's cool, so mysterious... Plus, she likes books! But I don't think that I would be able to keep a conversation going... ugh! Okay. Who do I know in this school? There's Blaze, Lance, Crimson, Shadow, and...  

  

I race through some bushes and meet up with Hayley. I smile slightly as she gazes at me. The brunette then turns around and storms off in the opposite direction.  

  

"Wait! Where are you going?!" I yell but she was long gone. I kick some dust underneath my feet. "We're supposed to be partners..."  

  

Hayley walks forward to see Lance pinned to a tree by a spear. The male waves nervously and Hayley turns around and walks back towards me. 

  

"By no means does this make us friends." Hayley says as she grabs my cape. "You came back!" 

"Wait! Who's supposed to get me down from here?!" He wails. 

"Lance?" 

Said male turns his head to see Fauna standing under the tree. "Do you still have any spots left on your Team?" 

"Very funny." He pouts. He opens an eye to see the blonde smiling up at him. He reluctantly uncrosses his arms and smiles back. 

Hayley trudges through the forest. "What's the hurry?" I ask her. 

"I will not let my mission be delayed because you're too slow! I swear, if I get a bad grade because of your—" I appear in front of the brunette, smiling. "What the-" 

"I'm not slow! Just because I'm not good with people doesn't mean I don't know how to deal with monsters! You're gonna see a whole different side of me, Hayley! And when this is all over, you're gonna think, 'Wow. That Lana girl is really, really cool.'" I turn to face her, grinning. "And I wanna be your friend." With that said, I dash off somewhere else. 

Hayley glares at everything around her. "You may be fast, but you still excel at wasting time!" She yells. She then hears rustling from one bush. "Lana?" She brushes past the small plant. "Lana...?" A pair of red eyes gleam through the plants and a low growl erupts from them. 

"LANA!"
