study me like the universe and count the freckles on my back like they hold all the answers
i swear to you the sky is burning and the ground is shaking
i swear to you my neck is in a noose and i am drowning
paint prayers onto my skin and kiss me like the devil would because i know you are no angel
there are faults in my corners and i want you to be the one who digs them up
i've buried them like they are sins but i've never even read the bible
look at me with your viridian eyes and i will stand my ground i promise
your lips are tinted red and i hope it's not my blood on your fingertips
swallow me whole like the sky does to the moon
there are galaxies tucked into your fists i will pry them open please let me
your voice is a crack and i've fallen
