Chapter 4

It was the day of the date, Misaki was quite nervous, and it was something she was not used to. Sure she does feel that way, but not that kind where all she could feel is her heart beating fast and the way she keeps on blushing didn't help.

Misaki breathed, trying to keep her composure as she wore her clothes. (Her clothes in Vanguard Fight OP)

Misaki took her sling bag and went out of her house, just as then she was met by her uncle Shin who was carrying some boxes.

"Oh Misaki? Where are you going to?" Shin asked.

Misaki sighed, "Didn't I tell you yesterday I'm going out with Kai and Ishida?"

"Huh?! K-Kai-kun and Ishida-kun? Aren't they both boys?! What if they do something to you?!" Shin protested, worrying.

"Shin-san, they're my friends okay? They won't do anything. By the way I need to go, see you later." Misaki replied as she walked away.

"W-well, have fun Misaki!!!"

When Misaki was walking, she saw Kai just standing and waiting for the crossing line's light to become green. She saw him wearing his usual clothes. (His clothes during Link Joker)

"Hey there, Kai." Misaki greeted him and Kai looked back at her.

"Hey," Kai said.

"So… um… shall we go now?" Misaki said and blushed.

Kai nodded and they looked at the lights as they became green, and they walked together.

Misaki and Kai met up with Naoki at an amusement park, there they saw Naoki standing and seem to be waiting for them. Naoki was wearing a simple white shirt and blue pants with black sneakers.

"Hey, you two!" Naoki waved his hands at them.

"Hello Ishida," Misaki smiled at Naoki, which made the younger boy blush and Kai felt annoyed.

"B-by the way! We should get going!" Naoki told them and they all went to the amusement park.

The three of them had a lot of time going at every rides, eating lunch, and playing some arcade games.

"Hey Senpai," Naoki called to Misaki who was playing the claw crane, but she couldn't get one.

"This is quite hard, don't you think so?" Misaki stated and Naoki nodded.

Naoki then smiled, "Then will you let me try?"

Misaki looked at him, "Sure thing."

"Which toy did you wanna have, senpai?" Naoki asked.

"Um, I wanted this one but it's hard to get." Misaki pointed at a CEO Amaterasu stuffed toy.

Naoki nodded, "Then lemme try." He put some coins on the slot and started to play the machine.

Misaki looked in amusement at Naoki as she saw him trying to get the stuffed toy, later on he managed to catch it and successfully got the stuffed toy.

Naoki took the toy and was about to give it to Misaki when…

Kai interrupted and handed Misaki another stuffed toy.

"H-hey Kai!" Naoki looked at the Kagero user in surprise and somehow annoyed.

"…what?" Kai glared at Naoki.

"I-I did my best gettin' this doll for boss- I mean, senpai! What's with you suddenly buttin' in?!"

Kai crossed his arms, "Don't forget I'm also here because of Tokura."

"So you don't have to interrupt us while havin' some time here!" Naoki yelled.

"Oh really? How about we get to fight this time-"

"Shut it you two!" Misaki yelled at the two boys, causing them to look at her. Misaki groaned and took the stuffed toy from Naoki's hands.

"Why are you guys like this? I can't believe I'm dating two idiots like you." Misaki told them.

Naoki and Kai stopped being angry and looked at Misaki in sympathy, they both looked at each other. Then looked back at Misaki.

"We're sorry." Naoki said.

Kai nodded.

Misaki looked at them. "Don't do this again. Come on, let's eat. You guys must be hungry."

"It's my treat." Said Kai and Naoki and Misaki just nodded in agreement.

When they ate, Misaki noticed how Kai's taking glances at her, which made her quite blush. While Naoki just kept quiet as he ate his own.

Misaki thought these two needed time to talk to each other, so she had a plan. Misaki stood up.

"Where are you goin'?" Naoki asked.

"The restroom." Misaki replied and left them. When she was quite far away, she glanced at them. 'This should do it.'

Kai and Naoki kept quiet, not until then Naoki had to break the ice.

"Hey Kai," Naoki spoke.

"What?"

"Do you like Senpai? I mean… I can see that you are." Naoki told him.

Kai then sighed, he thought that maybe he should tell what he felt. "Yeah, I do."

Naoki then smiled, "Ah, so that's why! You kept on getting angry at us so I had the hunch that you do, which it's true!"

"How about you? You asked her out on a date and you're trying to take her attention." It was Kai's turn to ask.

Naoki sighed, "Yeah I do, but last night I confessed to her."

Kai's eyes widened, "You did?"

Naoki nodded, "Yeah. But she rejected me, said I was just like a lil brother to her. That's okay for me though, I knew she liked someone else."

Kai suddenly felt sad about Naoki, he felt the same. Misaki didn't answer him, instead she just said she couldn't give him a right answer. Kai knows how Naoki feels right now.

"You know Ishida, I confessed to her also." Kai stated, Naoki glanced at him. "But she didn't answer me."

"She must've like someone else than us." Naoki sighed.

"We have no other way to do than to ask her." Said Kai.

"I agree," Naoki replied.

They saw Misaki walking back to them, just as she sat the two boys then spoke.

"Hey, who do you like?"
