Ending the Terror

Chapter Five

Riker's POV

He got in his car and drove. He didn't know where he was going, he just drove.

He needed to let off some steam; to calm himself down before he returned home.

When he thought he had calmed down, he started home. Except he got a little lost on his way.

He pulled into the jails parking lot and got out of the car. He would end this.

He was escorted down the hall to the visiting chamber where he would come face to face with his once best friend. Then he would end it all.

The door opened revealing a man sitting in a chair. He had jeans on.

"Ratliff?" He asked, surprised to see his band mate already in the room.

"What are you doing here?" He asked him.

"Clearly the same thing as you" he laughed, "Keeping this guy out of Rydel's life forever."

"You really care about her don't you?" Riker asked him, sitting down in one of the two chairs set out for them.

"Yea I do. She makes me smile" Ellington blushed.

"I'm sorry I kept you away from her. And I'm sorry for bringing this monster into our lives. You don't deserve that."

At that moment a buzzer rang, and the door opposite to them opened. A guard walked in, holding the arm of the man he had come to see. Calum.

He smiled when he saw Riker.

"Hey man what's up?" Calum laughed. "Long time no see! Sorry I missed you when I visited your sister"

Riker attacked. He jumped at Calum and began throwing punches.

"You no good son of a-"

"RIKER" Ellington was screaming his name and pulling at his waist.

He finally let go, and watched as Calum wiped the blood from his face, laughing like a maniac.

"Oh Riker you haven't changed" he grinned, winking at him.

He watched as Calum sat down across the table from him, and crossed his arms. Bruises covered his face, some new and some old.

He had a black eye from when Ratliff attacked him yesterday.

"Can we make this quick boys, I want to get back to my cell"

Riker was fuming. The fact that it was him who brought Calum into their lives was killing him.

He pulled a piece of paper out from his back pocket and laid it on the table.

"What's that?" Calum asked, not taking his eyes off of Riker.

"A restraining order" he answered him. "Stay the hell away from my sister and our family, or next time I will not think twice about killing you"

And with that he stormed out of the cell.

The last thing he heard as the steel door slammed shut was Calum's maniacal laughter filling the room.
