Reunion

(Keaton's POV)

"So we have a concert tonight do you think your up for it?" I ask Lauren.

"Yes yes yes" she cheers sitting up a little straighter.

Mom asks her "Do you think that's a good idea?" and Lauren looks over in her direction.

"Well I haven't gotten sick yet from the toast" she says smiling.

"We could always just cancel it" I tell them.

"Nooo" Lauren says as her eye brows scrunch up.

I smile and her eye brows relax again.

Tyler plops down on the bed next to me "What if I stay with her back stage?" he asks looking at my mom.

She nods "If you want to go for it."

"Yay" Lauren says clapping.

She gets out of the bed and looks around my room for her bag.

She grabs some clothes and says "I'm gonna shower alright?"

I nod and Tyler mumbles "Oh god she smelt bad."

She must've heard him because she turned around and said "Well you aren't much better."

I laugh at them both and my mom says "Alright boys I'm going out for groceries text me if you need anything."

Tyler and I look at each other and smile. He turns on the XBOX.

"You're doomed" he says to me in an evil voice.

"That's what you think" I say grinning.

Wes and Drew walk into my room "Bros what's happenin?" Wes asks.

"Just killin' Keaton, the usual" Tyler adds.

"Well we're goin' to Carly's for a bit. How's Lauren feeling?" he asks me.

She comes out of the bathroom dressed in skinny jeans and a T shirt.

I don't say anything but both Wes and Drew note that Lauren's looking better.

"Are you comin' tonight?" Drew asks Lauren.

She starts to braid her hair but replies "Wouldn't miss it."

"Tyler's coming too" I tell them.

"So is Carly" Wes says.

Lauren turns to Wes "So I'll see her!" she says practically jumping for joy.

"Yes you'll see her tonight" Wes says laughing.

"Well we better get going meet you guys at sound check later" Drew says pulling Wes from my bedroom.

Tyler beats me and I yell "Ahhh I suck."

"Can I try?" Lauren asks me.

I hand her my controller and she sits in my lap as she starts playing against Tyler. Within minutes she beats him.

"What? How?" Tyler says looking at her confused and upset that he had lost to a girl.

"My brother Brady plays these kind of games all the time" She says flashing him a smile.

"Yo Keats that's hot, are there any other girls like you out there?" Tyler asks her.

I smile and squeeze her with my legs making her giggle.

"We have a couple of hours until sound check" I say to Tyler and Lauren.

"Do you wanna get going?" Tyler asks.
