Long ago, two races ruled over the earth. Human and Monsters. But you all know that already. Now let's move forward a little bit, to a time much forgotten.
The human child ran up the mountain, they're many bruises and cuts burning as tears ran down they're face. They're torn, used and baggy clothes making them stand out in the forest of brown and green. As they ran they didn't notice a tree root and they fell into the gaping pit in front of them.
[Time Skip to when they wake up]
The human child awoke to find a small goat child peeking out from behind a pillar. The child was frightened at first, but the goat child seemed to be more afraid. The human child, who's heart was, as they say, made of gold, stood with difficulty to try and comfort the goat child. The goat child went over quickly and helped the human.
"A-are you okay?" the goat child asked, worriedly.
"Y-yeah, just a bit dizzy is all." the human responded.
"I-I'll take you home. My mom sh-should know what to do." the goat child said, guiding the human to the next area.
"Okay. I-I'm Chara by the way. What's your name?" the human said politely.
"A-Asriel." the goat child answered shyly.
"It's n-nice to meet you Asriel." Chara strained. They were weak from the fall and were really tired right now.
"Okay, let's get you to my mom." Asriel said and continued to guide Chara to his house.
