Time skip to prom month:

Phil's POV:

"Alright! Ladies and Gentlemen, in 2 weeks is prom! No specific theme! Boys and boys, girls and girls, boy and girls!" Our principle announced.  I was on my way to my locker to put away my textbooks. It was my first prom and I was looking forward to it. I didn't have homework from any classes so that meant I could go home and relax. I usually meet Louise outside of the building on a bench so we could walk home together since we were next door neighbours. I waited a few minutes and Louise ran to me gasping.

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm here! I'm here!" Louise called gasping. She was wearing magenta and white horizontal stripped onesie and her hair was in a little knot on her head with pieces of her pink streaks poking out in different directions. "I'm sorry, Phil. I forgot to tell you I wasn't coming to school. I wasn't feeling well. I really am sorry." She apologized. I chucked and gave her a smile.

"Don't worry, I'm not mad. Also, prom is in 2 weeks." I said. I don't get mad that easily. Especially at Louise. She's my best friend. We've knows each other since freshman year of high school.

It just began to rain and it was little chilly. I pulled out a Twenty Øne Piløts sweatshirt and gave it to Louise so she wouldn't get even more sick than she already is. We walked home and I told her on what she missed out while she was gone for the day.

"But don't worry, I'll help you catch up on the work you missed." I said, smiling.

"Thank you, Phil. You're a life saver." She thanked. I let her borrow my sweatshirt for now until she was feeling better so she could come to school. I walked over to my house and let myself in with my key. I kicked off my shoes and placed them neatly on the shoe rack and went up to my room and change into some sweats.

I changed into cookie monster pyjama bottoms and a black over sized jumper and placed my shirt and jeans into the laundry bin in my washroom and closed the door. I put on my glasses as I walked into the kitchen since I took them off when I changed.

"Good evening, Phillip." Mom greeted me.

"Good evening, mom." I said back, grabbing orange juice and a red solo cup. Mom was washing the dishes while dinner was cooking. I didn't want her to wash another cup since she was nearly finished, so I grabbed a plastic cup and threw it away after I was done using it. "By the way, mom, prom is in two weeks. Can you help me buy a suit or something?" I asked.

"Sure, we'll go shopping this weekend. Do you have a prom date?" She asked, rinsing off the last dish. I shook my head.

"No, I only found out today that prom was in two weeks. I'll just go with some friends. Probably Louise or Tyler." I said. "Anyways, I'm heading over next door to Louise. I promised her I'd help out with the homework she missed today."

"Alright, be home before 11." Mom said. I walked over next door, making sure I locked the door behind me. I knocked on her door a few times and waited for her to answer.

"Oh, hi Phil. Come in." Louise greeted me with a smile. I smiled back and entered and neatly took off my shoes and followed her to her room. "Sorry my room's a mess, I was going to clean up but I couldn't move." She apologized.

After I she caught up, I helped her clean her room then we just talked about prom.

"I'm going to go shopping over the weekend for a suit. Want to come with us? I'm sure my mom would love to help pick out a dress for you." I suggested, drinking some tea.

"Sure, I'd love too." Louise responded
