Have you ever Awoken to somewhere Unfamiliar?

The sight of a different sky or roof,

Enough to make you wonder of your time, drawing nearer.

Is life truly foolproof?

Closer, you were beckoned

To the sounds of the meadow.

The swaying and swishing of the reckoned.

So much woe.

The dead who you wish to see,

Or the living of whom you could never be,

Together.

A word that is light as a feather.

Yet darker than the depths of the deepest oceans.

What it it? You ask, falling into their notions.

Is it death,

Calling to you?

A final breath?

No, none of that brew.

I suppose a second chance.

A second chance at life.

To prance

Away from the hidden strife.

The clandestine desert inside of your heart.

For life is like a tart.

The sweets of it entrenched.

But it will spoil.

Through all trouble,

It will toil.

Through the lies you've doubled,

Trying to keep your secret.

But secrets are meant to be revealed.

Just as chances are to be given a second beacon.

Through all of the scars that haven't healed,

I have awoken.

In an unfamiliar place.

I've seen the signs and I have betoken.

At my own pace,

I will save this place.

My time here, has drawn to a close.
