The next morning was spent avoiding Enoch as best as he could. Which wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be. He never left his room for the majority of the day until it was time for his chores and for the daily walk.

I helped Olive prepare lunch and I was happy that we didn't have to use the oven. I could never get the hang of it. All Olive had to do was set the tray in the middle of her hand and within minutes the food was fully cooked and ready to serve.

I was jealous of that awesome peculiarity.

"That was so cool," I breathed out when the soup was cooked to perfection. A light pink danced across the red head's cheeks but she smiled and said thank you nonetheless. "What's up with Enoch?" I asked her and she sighed.

"He was always a bit of a recluse and I tried my best to make him open up to people but it didn't work. Today he's staying away because he's avoiding you," She chuckled.

"I really wish that Horace would have warned us about that dream beforehand," I said and she laughed at my expression.

"I've never seen him blush that much before. Your arrival has really rattled him," She guffawed and I followed soon after. It was strange to hear that someone as stone cold and harsh as Enoch could blush because of something insinuated in a dream. I blush easy but for him it was different.

"If you're quite done talking about me, could you hurry up and serve lunch," The man in question snapped from the door way and my laughter died in my throat. Olive nodded and walked past him, a few chuckles leaving her lips on the way past.

"Why are you avoiding me?" He asked and I looked at him in disbelief.

"The same reason you're avoiding me for," I threw back and I lifted the other bowls of soup and rushed past him.

I went back to collect the few bowls that were left and I almost bumped into him as he was already carrying them out. I let out a small smile as I followed him into the dining room and I took the seat between him and Olive once again.

The table was quiet for once. Everyone was either too tired or too hungry to keep up with the chit chat. I couldn't blame them. The loop resetting didn't leave a lot of time for sleep and they also had to get up early for their chores. I wanted to speak to Miss Peregrine about letting them sleep in for a little longer but I doubted that would get me anywhere. So, I kept my mouth shut.

I ate up quickly and excused myself. I changed back into the clothes that I arrived to the house yesterday and I grabbed my rucksack that I had forgotten that I had brought through the loop.

"Are you leaving?" Asked a small voice from the door and I turned around to see Bronwyn and Claire standing there with the twins.

"Oh definitely not. It's dreadfully boring out there and I'd much rather be here with you interesting little people," I said and they giggled at my impersonation of Miss Peregrine. "However, I have to retrieve my belongings from my old house and bring them here. So, I'm going to ask Miss Peregrine if I can leave the loop to pick them up."

They gasped at what I said and they ran towards me, wrapping their tiny arms around my legs as an attempt to stop me leaving.

"It's dangerous out there! Please take Emma or Enoch with you at least!" Claire pleaded and I patted her small head. The twins purred a bit and they backed away from me. I was surprised that I had given in that easily but they were too darn cute to say no to.

"I'll go with her if it gives you peace of mind," Grumbled a voice from the door way and the children cheered, dashing forward to give Enoch the same treatment that they gave me. I chuckled at his predicament and he looked at me with pleading eyes.
