I walked down the cold, long halls of our school. Even though I was one of the more popular kids at school doesn't mean I had true friends. I feel like once "popularity" gets to people's heads, they change. They replace you, act like they never knew you, treat you bad or pretend to be your friend. Fake friends suck. My friends were pretty good, and they make me smile. It was just past experiences that made me feel this way about fake friends. My friends now are Gaten, he's like the jokester of the group. Then there is Noah, he's quite the quiet type. And lastly, there's Caleb. He's like the "mom" of the group and makes sure we do nothing stupid. I'm thankful for all of them. But as I walked down the hall, I noticed this girl. I pass by her everyday and she always manages to catch my eye. Her name is Millie Brown. She has gorgeous eyes, a short, but cute pixie cut, and an adorable smile. Ever since I saw her, I had always been curious about her. Here there are a ton of girls drooling over me, and the only person I'm really interested in is Millie. Today, I was determined to talk to her. To get to know her in many ways possible. Any clues to the mystery.
. . .
Millie is in my english class, and today we're getting new seats. I really hope she's seated by me! I noticed that she had this little notebook, that had a floral design on the front. The edges were slightly frayed, and an elastic band held it closed.
"Okay class! Time for new seats today!" Mrs. Heaton said.
"Up here, we have Gaten and Sadie."
"Next, Finn and Millie." said Mrs. Heaton smiling. I was so glad I got placed to Millie! One step closer to getting closer to her. As I took my seat next to her, she stayed silent and flipped open her notebook. I tried to be low key and peer over inside her book. It looked like she was writing poetry. That's pretty cool, I thought to myself. I wrote songs, but of course that was a secret. That would have been embarrassing if anyone found out. I looked away from her notebook and stuck in one of my earbuds, the teacher's words going in one ear and out the other. My eyes lead me back to Millie, who was listening intently to Mrs. Heaton.
"Hey, hey Millie!" I whispered. She turned her head to look at me. She stayed silent.
"Um... I'm Finn." I said, not knowing what else to say.
"Hello." she said, looking at me, then back to the teacher.
"Um... Do you want to meet me in front of the school when school is over?" I said. My friends didn't know, but I actually liked her. They also ship me with the most popular girl in the school, and her name is Maddie. To be honest, I could care less about her. I was more interested in Millie.
"Okay." she said, smiling. Wow, she's never done that before! We're getting somewhere now.
. . .
Hey guys! That was one of the real first chapters. This was written on my computer. <3
