small biography: Zelle was born to Mandalorian nobility before their untimely death, moving to Naboo as an infant. Grew up there and ended up in the care of royal officers, who urged her to become one of the new handmaidens for a young queen. When it became clear she wasn't suited for that occupation, she began training as a royal guard. Zelle made friends with a young Padme, and she was chosen as her personal protector.
She married a Mandalorian merchant, Declan Virsle, and gave birth to an infant Lyris. Her husband died in a riot on his home planet whilst she was pregnant with their second child, Thrymia. Zelle faithfully served her former queen as Amidala transferred to the Republic Senate, famously fighting with two sticks when facing a would be assailant to the senator. She was gifted with metal batons shortly before Padme Amidala's death.
Zelle grew strangely ill after the fall of the Republic (she swore that it was poisoning), but continually supported her daughter's in their endeavors. She later went on to support and take an active hand in the Rebellion, and passed away a few years after the Empire's defeat.
when this oc only makes small cameos now and then but this is the woman who made The Batons™ a thing. also i have a headcanon that she was a lot like mara (no chill, fiery personality), and that her and padme may have been a thing at some point????
