My Story

That girl? The one sitting in her room all day on her phone, browsing the Internet, being a lazy lil shit? Ya, that's me. I'm 12 at the time and I'm about to meet this guy, his name is Bo. He's that person in my story. Only if I would've noticed it this day, because there would've been so many more days of happiness. I had my group of friends, Gaby, Dan, and Phil. I don't know what was going on. All I know is Dan and Phil both have a major crush on her, but she's denying them both. It confuses me, anyway, back to my story at the moment, hers is a whole other one. My mom came up and knocked on my door, telling me the new neighbors came to say hi, and that's when I went down stairs to meet this boy. He was 13, a year older than me. He hid behind his mom as I just stood awkwardly, waving hello to him. He finally stepped out, and I reached for a hand shake but he hugged me, a little too long, I wish I would've noticed it then that it was the most comforting thing all week. His warm embrace, it said without saying real words, "You'll be okay." He ended up leaving and his parents said we should hang out some time, and I shrugged in response. I went back up to my room and called Gaby, and she talked about who her and Phil kissed. I acted excited and all, but I wasn't really into that love shit.

Seven years went by like this. Me not noticing the most perfect guy in the world right in front of me. I always pushed him away, not noticing it only hurt him more and more each time. Gaby and Phil got married and Dan got over his crush her. I'm still the same, and Bo was still there with me.. but tomorrow he wasn't going to be. He was going to college while I was still in school. He was a year older than me so I couldn't even go if I wanted. That's when I noticed how I needed him in my life, and how I wanted to be wherever he was.

That's pretty much my story, like I said, it was boring. Bo and I got married, and we're married today. Gaby, Phil, Dan, Bo, and I all moved in a house together and Gaby had a daughter named Lily. This is my story so far, things can get better or worse, and I can be the one to decided, and it's up to me to make it worth living.
