Swimming Fail

The sun over your head, a cold drink in your hand, and a friend to spend this time with near you, this had to be a good day. You sit at the edge of the pool, in your one piece swim suit, watching as Jett swam in the pool. The two of you were hanging out at Alfred's house. The reasons being that Alfred was visiting his friend Kiku-san and he wanted someone to watch over his place for a while. Actually he just wanted someone to make sure that Tony wasn't taken by the MIB (men in black) while he was gone.

He originally asked Jett to babysit and you just came to visit, because Jett asked you if you wanted to swim for a bit. Of course you couldn't say 'no'. Like, it's kinda hard to say no to anything your crush asks of you to do.

To tell the truth, you had no idea how to swim. Well you could swim in the really shallow end but any depth deeper than your height was a big NOPE. You would have told Jett that you couldn't swim worth anything, but then again, it's kind of embarrassing to tell the captain of the swim team that you couldn't swim. You don't know why that's actually considered embarrassing to you, but for some reason it was.

Your feet kicked gently in the water as you watched Jett's beautifully sculpted body go back and forth in the deep end of the pool. Actually, now that you looked at the pool, the whole thing was six feet deep of more. "Now there's no way I can swim," you mumbled to yourself as you sighed. Jett swam up to you and rested his arms on the pool's edge. His brown hair was slicked back by the water--body dripping with glistening water--he smirked up at you, "hey, how come you aren't going to swim? It's really hot today ya know." You debated for a second before answering him awkwardly, "well. You see.... I just... uuuuh." Jett stared at you as you stumbled on your sentence making.

Laughing, he nudged your thigh with his elbow and smirked in a teasing way, "let me take a guess. You don't know how to swim. Am I right?" Your face turned pink as you looked away from his smirk, "n-no! I never said that! W-What made you think that?!"

"Oh really, _____. If you 'claim' that you can swim than I take back what I said."

"Claim?! I swim like a dolphin in water!"

"Oh. A dolphin, eh? Well, I know I'd love to see that."

"Just watch me, I'll prove you wrong, 'captain'," you challenged him as you stood up from your spot. Jack watched you, swimming out of the way so you could have space to jump in. As you took a few steps back your mind was scolding you, "idiot! Why didn't you just say you couldn't swim! Now you're gonna die from drowning! Idiot! Idiot!" You knew your thoughts were right, but you couldn't back out now. He was already waiting for you to jump in and swim like the dolphin you said you were.

Taking a gulp of air, you start to run for the pool. Jumping into the air, you head right for the water. "This is it!" you thought as you closed your eyes and prepared for impact. You felt a strong pound of water against your stomach and chest, knocking the wind out of you. Spitting out the air you held in you gradually blacked out, your last thoughts being, "did I just do a belly flop...? fail."

Next thing you knew, you felt a hand pushing down on your chest near your heart. You felt like someone was doing that one thing in the movies. Was it called CPR? You couldn't remember at the moment, but the faint sound of a voice pierced through the darkness. "Come on. Come on, _____. Breath for me," the voice said in a worried tone. "Who's that?" your mind questioned. As you continued to think, you felt something on your mouth. It was blowing air into your throat, making you pretty uncomfortable.

Suddenly you felt something coming up from your throat. It didn't feel like anything you ate earlier, but instead it felt like some cold water. You started coughing and your body started to move as a reflex, making you sit up quickly. Blinking your eye lashes, you try to adjust to the bright light of the afternoon. Coughing out the last bits of chlorine water from your lungs you wipe your mouth with the back of your hand, "what the heck happened?" You hear someone sigh right next to you, making you turn your head. Jett sat there, cross legged, on the wet marble covered ground with is head in his left hand, "damn, _______, you almost gave me a heart attack back there." You looked at him confused before you remembered what you did, "oh yeah! I forgot about that!" Putting your hand behind your head you give an awkward chuckle, "I totally thought I was dead right there. Thanks for saving me!"

"You're such an idiot sometimes, ______," he face palmed, sighing through his hand, "You could just have told me you couldn't swim. I could have taught you instead of give you mouth to mouth." You blushed red as you remembered the feel of something on your lips. Jett looked up at you and smirked again, "embarrassed about my mouth being against yours?" He burst into laughter as your face got redder. You noticed that his hair was pretty much completely dry, that must mean he was trying for a while to get you back to life. Does that also mean that his amazing, lovely, soft as hell looking lips were on yours more than once? And you missed it! You started to pout at what action you missed, "darn it... I missed it."

Then you remembered something. "Would that be considered a first kiss?? Did your first kiss go to Jett?" You mentally cheered at the awesome new info. Jett gave you a confused look as you suddenly started grinning, "why are you grinning so much? Oh! Is it because you think that would be considered your first kiss, right?" Your grin disappeared and your red cheeks returned, "h-how do you know!?" He laughed again and ruffled your damp hair, "I didn't, until you told me just now~" You tried to glare at him but you couldn't help but laugh, "whatever! It was the first time anyone has put their lips on mine, so of course I'd think that. Is that wrong?"

Jett smirked then brushed his hair from his face, "you probably wished you were awake for it too, yea?" You sighed then just let your thought flow out, past your lips, "yep. I wish I was awake for it though." As you were about to look to him, you heard him lean over to you. When your eyes met with his closed lids, you felt his soft, chlorine flavored lips on yours. It was only a quick two seconds, but it still happened. Your eyes were wide in shock at his unusual action. He grinned as his cheeks became slightly pink, "sorry 'bout that. Just didn't want you feeling sad for not being awake for it, I guess."

You sat there silently for a minute or so, just looking at him being all flustered. He looked over at you then cleared his throat, "so... I finally got you speechless! Should have done that a long time ago!" He exploded into a fit of laughter as he watched your expression change into a pout. You face turned red as you tried to speak, "W-What!? I don't talk that much!"

The two of you continued enjoying each other's company at the pool until Alfred got back home three hours later. Alfred walked into the backyard, Francis and Kiku not far behind him. Francis ran over to you two and smirked, "I'm guessing that you two did a little 'mouth to mouth', no?" Kiku held out some photographs of you two over the past hours you arrived at the pool. He somehow took pictures of the two of you without any of you noticing. Kiku got when you jumped into the pool, when Jack pulled you out of the water, Jack giving you mouth to mouth (which you happily took off of his hands), and pretty much everything! If you wanted to you could have made a flip book of your entire day at the pool and make a three hour movie.

"W-What the-! What's wrong with you guys!" you glared at them as Kiku stood there flustered. "I-I'm so very sorry _____-san," Kiku stuttered as he backed away. You pointed to the "mouth to mouth" photo and complained, "why didn't you take a video instead??"

OOOOKKKK! So I dunno about this... did it escalate too quickly? I tried to make it not so, but ya know I suck at that kinda stuff.
