Chapter Four

After Kim agreed to the surprise Luke had for her they left the restaurant heading to their next destination. They were currently in the car listening to "Make It Last Forever" by Keith Sweat.

"Oh my gosh I love this song." Kimbella said turning the radio up a little bit.

"Oh yeah?"

"Yes! I love music from the 90's & 80's especially R&B. I could listen to 90's & 80's R&B literally all day everyday and never get tired of it."

"Which R&B do you prefer, 80's & 90's or today's R&B?"
"80's & 90's R&B no doubt. Back then the artist made songs where you could not only hear the music but also feel it too. You could feel the emotion they put into their songs and today's R&B is just about getting in bed with someone. Not saying I don't like today's R&B but I want to hear some songs I can relate too, some songs I can listen to while I'm in my feelings and they sing exactly what I'm feeling."

Luke nodded his head and they soon pulled up to their location.Kim was too busy on her phone so she didn't noticed they made it to their destination until Luke got out of the car and came around and opened her car door.

"Luke, where are we?"

"I told you baby girl it's a surprise. Come on."

"No Luke this not no surprise. This looks like an old run down building. I'm not about to get out of this car, but what you can do is get back in and take me home." Kimbella said as she sat back with her arms folded.

"I know it looks kind of bad on the outside but that's because it's dark and there's not many street lights around it. I promise you in the inside it looks way better and you're going to love this surprise I have for you. So can you please Kimbella please get out of the car, please?"

At first Kimbella was going to sit in the car until he gave up and decided to take her home, but she thought about how he did ask her out and he said he didn't want to end the night early so the least she could do was check it out.

"Okay Luke lets go."

"Thank you. By the way did I tell you how beautiful you look tonight?"

"Yes you did and thank you for telling me again."

They went through a side door so they wouldn't be bombarded with people while coming in the door.

"Hey Luke." One of the crew members greeted him.

"Hey Reggie. Aye let me talk to you real quick. I'll be right back Kim."

"Okay."

Luke and Reggie went off to the back.

"Hey Reggie so you know I'm performing tonight, right."

"Yeah."

"Okay. So while I'm performing I'm going to perform some of my songs and right before I perform my last songs and end the show I'm going to perform "Let Me Love You Down" by Ready for the World and I told Kimbella I had a surprise for her. When the band is playing in the background and I start talking I need you to bring her on stage for me, alright?"

"Alright I got you Luke. But while you're performing do you want her to stand backstage or what?"

"Let her be in the audience so she can see the show but a little bit closer to the door so you can bring her on stage."

"Alright I got you Luke."

Luke nodded his head and they shook hands.

"Hey Kim, I'm on in 10 minutes and I need to get ready to perform. My homie Reggie is going to take out in the front so you can see the show, alright?"
