Uh, hey! This is my very first book on here.. I hope whoever reads it will enjoy it and make me feel good about myself! Anyways..
----------------------
"Hey Sam" I greeted my employee. He smiled at me then waved. I picked up the buckets of milk and took them into my house to pasteurize it.
I poured the two buckets of milk into two separate pans and started to heat it up. I stirred them constantly then once they were heated, I put the pans into ice and let them cool down. While they were cooling, I sterilized the glass jars to prepare them for the milk.
I checked the milk and pulled the pans out of the ice bath then poured the milk into 10 jars. Once I did that, I put the jars into the second refrigerator along with butter, eggs, fruit, and vegetables.
I picked up the buckets and took them back out to the barn then set them down and rinsed them out with a water hose.
"Hey Belle!" I heard. I turned around and saw my dad standing in the barn entrance wearing overalls and boots. His gray hair and goatee thinning out.
I wiped my hands on my pants and walked towards him "Hey dad" I said. He smiled and put his arm around my shoulder pulling me into the barn "Let's go riding" He said letting me go and walking over to his horse that I keep in my barn. "Okay?" I said walking over to the saddles. My brown leather saddle hung up on the wall along with the reins. I reached up and pulled it down then walked over to Adeccus and proceeded to put it over him.
My dad was waiting for me on lazy red. His slightly reddish horse.
I hopped onto Adeccus and clicked my tongue which made him start to walk over to the old duo. My dad and I started to ride in sync and in silence. When we reached the gates to let us out of my property I saw one of my employees so I told her that she would be in charge until I got back. She happily obliged and started checking on everyone's station.
"So what did you want to talk about dad?" I finally asked as we rode down a dirt road. My dad was always talking to me about something. If it wasn't this than it was this. He shrugged and kept riding.
I suddenly felt worried about his health.
Was that what he wanted to talk to me about?
Was my dad dying?
"You're not sick are you?" I asked worriedly holding on to the reins with one hand letting the other lay tensed on my thigh.
"For heavens sakes no" He said. I relaxed and said "Well you wanted to tell me something dad."
He furrowed his eyebrows together, something I inherited from him, and opened his mouth to speak "I did Belle... But I kinda forgot" I laughed and noticed he was chuckling as well.
After we reached a dead road I turned Adeccus around and made him sprint all the way back home. My dad and lazy red showed up minutes later.
I left the saddle on Adeccus then put him into a closed off plain with other horses and let him enjoy being a horse. No worries about getting married, or having children, or even falling in love with your soul mate.
If horses even have soul mates.
My father bid me and my employees goodbye then took off to his house with my mother. Later on when everyone went home and I locked up, I sat on my couch enjoying a romance novel. In my head I pictured me being the woman whom the man comes to fall in love with and they live out their lives together.
'He kissed me softly and pulled me into his arms. "Forever" I whispered'
I closed the book and sighed then put it along with all of my other romance novels in the book shelf. I trudged up the stairs and into my room then proceeded to take off my pants and change my shirt.
I brushed my teeth and climbed into bed then covered myself with my camouflage blanket. I set my alarm for 8:00 in the morning and rolled over onto my side then fell asleep thinking about things that did not pertain to work.
"Forever"
