Blood was excited.

The angels would walk down this path.

With their white gowns and shields glistening like the golm tree, they would walk with honor.

The golm tree that beautified Blood's dreams.

They would once again curse everyone and lure them in.

She would also be skipping down the path to see them.

She would happily go.

And now, she was going.

Everyone else was panicking, women and men scurrying off to hide.

But Blood would not.

She will stay and watch peeking from the wall.

The grey dusty wall.

The wall that had rotten and could hardly stand.

And here they were coming. Their white boots trembling the ground, their weapons and swords shining like silver.

They walked not knowing the eight year old girl who watched them every month.

The female warriors leading the male warriors.

Blood loved every second of it, until the wall stumbled down.

And as she came down, Mama was there.

She shrieked, Mama running towards her, catching her.

All heads turned to them.

That was it.

Mama didn't wait to dust herself.

She ran, with Blood crying silently in her hands.

And that rose suspicion.
