You said "I hate Tea" with a face of zero compassion. I sat with a perplexed look, trying to comprehend what you have said. "I hate Tea" I repeated in my inner voice to understand your logic. I repeated in a very sarcastic tone "You don't like Tea?" You stopped writing and gazed in my face for a brief moment to say "I assume, Tea is your favorite and you hate Coffee." I was intrigued with the way you understood so fast, I still despised you for hating Tea.
We debated on the difference between Coffee & Tea, our voice projected so loud people across the Cafe became spectators. We laughed and we developed an infatuation with each other. You & I, spontaneously started to talk about our goals. You said you love journalism more than you love yourself. You carried a strong willingness to expose the corruption of governments and bring fourth the truth in the society we live in - which captivated me even more. You wrote poetry too, and loved jazz. You said you love the Cafe because of it's unique style. We talked about our accomplishments & failures, then we started to talk about relationships. We're both single but you carried more baggage than I did. You explained how guys mistreated you and you couldn't trust anyone.
An awkward silence flooded the air, a look of depression filled your face. As you stared blankly out the window, I said "you are beautiful" you smiled then opened your book to the front page and wrote Tea Vs Coffee. I anticipated You wrote Tea Vs Coffee because our debate we had but I asked you "why did you write Tea Vs Coffee?" you replied "somethings are better left unsaid."
We became so lost in time that our drinks were cold. You asked me what kind of tea I liked, I told you all but mainly peppermint.
"So, you like Coffee, with no sugar?" I askedYou gave me a flirtatious look and asked "how'd you know?"
"I over heard you ordering your disgusting coffee yesterday" I replied with a laughter at the end.
The cafe started to close and we started to pack our things to leave. You left me with a hug and a smile.
