Zarah's POV

The car ride was silent, except for my cries. I kept on thinking about my family and that made me cried more. My eyes were blurry because of the tears that blocked my vision. He gave me a tissue to wipe my tears, but I only used it to dab my eyes because they were already red and puffy.

We arrived at his house or our house since we were already married. Back to the main point, it wasn't a house, it was a mansion. It didn't even look like a mansion, it's a castle. Maybe I am exaggerating a little bit, but the house was very very big. Its large size didn't stop it from being beautiful. To sum it up, the house was elegant and it screamed money and power.

The mansion had guards with guns in their hands. Their muscles were threatening to bulge out of their uniformed black shirts. As soon as we approached the mansion's gate, it automatically opened. After we entered the mansion, I was in shock, I had never seen a house so big.

"Close your mouth before a fly enters," he muttered. I looked at his silhouette and noticed he was smirking."Let's go inside or are we going to stay in the car forever," he said, still smirking.

I just wanted to wipe that smirk off his face but I couldn't. So, I said, "Alright, let's enter."

My heart was beating super fast, and my sweaty hands were shaking uncontrollably. It was the beginning of my new life and whether I liked it or not, I had to enter the mansion. I kept telling myself.

I heard a door opened and realised that he had already went out. He came to my side, the passenger's side, and opened my door. "Thanks," I managed to croak out, still a shaking mess.

It's now or never, I thought.

The moment we entered the main house, I was enveloped into a warm and tight hug. I looked up and saw his mother and sisters hugging me, before they moved to hug him as well.

"Good evening, Auntie." I greeted his mother, a shaky smile on my face.

"Come on now, Zarah. Call me Momma like your husband does. Auntie will not do," she said. She had a beautiful smile on her face.

"Okay, Momma," I said, with my head held down.

"Take her upstairs," Momma said to the girls. She gave me an encouraging smile before we left.

"Let's go, Zarah," one of his sisters said with a huge grin on her face.

Their house was just MashaAllah. It looked so beautiful. We went upstairs and they took me to another part of the mansion. It also looked amazing.

They took me inside one of the rooms. I guessed it was their brother's room and I was right.

"So, this is our brother's part of the house. Even though he has his own house, you're going to stay here for one week before you go to his house permanently. It's some kind of tradition, because some of our relatives will visit you here. And they are also renevotaing his house for you," one of his sisters told me, all in one breath.

"I'm Aysha. Ayyan's younger sister," the brunette said. She was the one explaining everything to me. "I think we're going to get along well." She had a smile on her face which I returned.

"Hey, I'm Maryam. Their older sister." She pointed at Aysha. Maryam also had a smile on her face. "I know this marriage is not a love marriage. But please try to make it work, Zarah. Ayyan is a wonderful person once you get to know him. Promise me you'll try."

After a moment of hesitation, I answered her. "I promise you I will do my best to make this marriage work."

The room fell into a comfortable silence. It was then that I noticed the room. It was grey and white in colour. It was large and had a walk-in closet. It looked manly because all the furnitures were either grey, black or white. The room had one couch on the other end of the room beside the window, and a balcony on the other end.

A sudden knock on the door interrupted my thoughts.

"He's here, so we've gotta go. Good luck, and don't forget my promise." Maryam said quickly, while they stood up to leave.

"Please don't leave me alone with him. Please help me," I said, holding Aysha's hand tightly. She gently removed my hand.

"I'm sorry and have fun. You're going to tell me all the details tomorrow. Good night," Aysha said, and winked at me before they left. I heard some voices outside and I knew they were talking.

And finally, the doorknob was turned.

All I could think about at that moment was my life was officially over for the second time in one day.
