Renee immitated a cat and stretched her arms over her shoulders. She had propped herself onto my bed and stared at me as I buttoned my shirt.

"I had no idea you were a supporter of incest," she muttered to me.

"I'm not, I'm just saying that I would date you if you didn't look so much like me."

She grunted in response, "You're so disgusting."

I glanced down at my outfit for today; I was wearing a dark brown jeans and a yellow button up. It wasn't my best colour combination but I didn't feel like putting something together. "Would you date me if we weren't related?"

Renee frowned, "You have an awful lot of confidence in yourself."

"I just know my worth."

My sister rolled her eyes, "Clearly, you're exclusively for tourists because they're the only ones who would invest in something so... You." I gasped and tossed a pillow at her. She giggled and threw the pillow back.

I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous; I was petrified. I planned on taking Hansel to Dev's old Jungle Jim and ask her to by my girlfriend on he slide. I asked Renee if I could give Hansel one of her necklaces, but Renee just frowned and found herself stalking Hansel's Instagram at 3am.

"She's so pretty," she said at the unfair hour.

I grunted and turned away from the door she had burst through, "I know, go away."

Renee cat called, "Oh my, what do we have here..."

I peeked around my shoulder to see my sister staring at her phone screen. "What do we have?"

She pushed me over in bed and showed me her screen. "Can I go with to the party?" and she pointed a finger at a picture of Trent. I frowned; in the picture Trent had his arms around a beautiful brunette girl and was kissing her smoothly on her lips.

"That's not right."

"What? That supermodels can kiss?"

I rolled my eyes and shrugged, "Because Trent is gay." She didn't ask me about Trent again.

I aligned my contacts with my eyes and turned to Renee. "And?"

She glanced up from her tablet, "You look like I can take you home to my parents," she said, "if you weren't my brother."

I grinned, "Really?"

"Well, of course they call the cops because you look like you just took drugs, like, a ton of drugs..."

I sneered at her and rolled my eyes. Ludwick had always wanted a sister and admired the fact I had a twin sister, but he didn't know half of the dreams and heart break. She would wake me at strange hours, sobbing because some boy left her or because someone had spilled drinks in her hair.

Having a twin was colourful, having a twin sister was a rainbow disaster.

"What are your plans, exactly?" Renee breathed. I doubt she was actually listening to me because she was nose deep in her screen, but I explained anyway.

"I'm giving her your chain and then I'm gonna ask Hansel to date me," I took one last look at myself in the mirror before throwing myself on the bed beside Renee.

"Sweetly, I hope."

"The sweetest."

She sat herself up and fished something out of her pocket. She felt the object thoroughly before handing it to me. "Seriously?" I groaned.
