The drawer slammed shut. I whipped around and saw Jayden standing there. "I'm s-so -sor-ry Jayden!", I stammered nervously. She put on a fake smile and walked away. I ran out of her house and down the street to hers. I turned the doorknob and walked inside. "Dad?" I called out. No answer. "Dad?!" I screamed his name over and over as I ran from room to room. I couldn't find him. I ran outside an saw a red trail leading to the the forest. Near my favourite tree, I saw him. Motionless. Bloody. Dead. I felt tears spilling as I ran inside and flopped on my bed. I cried myself to sleep.
