Hey guys, how's life been for ya?

So if you're reading this then that means that YHGTBKM, NTISYA and SOTW1D are officially over! I know, I'm sad as well! After nearly two years it's finally done.

So today marks my two year anniversary so I thought why not start a second book series? I think that's a good idea let's do this! Can I hear a whoop whoop?!! *cricket noises while a tumble weed runs across the computer screen. Look at it go!*

IMPORTANT!!!!  I started this story late 2012 so the boys are still in their teens (except for Louis; he's 20) Just remember that.

There will be swearing and dirty words in this fanfic so don't say I didn't warn you!

Okay, enough with my blabbering! On with the story!

Kate's POV

"Don't you dare walk away from me!"

I sighed in irritation before turning around, mouth opening in preparation of a irritated remark but words escaped me as I saw what was gripped in his hand. A gun was level with my chest and all I could see was the glint of the barrel and that tunnel of darkness, its center aimed straight at my heart. I swallowed thickly, raising my hands slowly. "H-hey, it's okay. We can work this all out. Just put the gun down and-"

"NO!!"

I winced as his finger tightened on the trigger, watching as my life wobbled precariously on a thin line over a black void. One wrong move and I would fall, everything lost in mere seconds. "Please, just... just tell me what you want,"

He shook his head, his upper lip curling into a snarl of contempt. "It's too late for that. This is where it all ends."

The world held its breath as time slowed down. Every movement played out into slow motion. A finger tightening on the trigger. A scream of NO and a flash of blue as body landed in front of me. Silence. The world came to a standstill. Suddenly the illusion was broken as people started screaming and running in a wild panic.

"Someone call an ambulance!" a stranger yelled as he tackled the gunman to the ground and held him down.

Everything seemed to blur as I gazed at the face grinning crookedly up at me. "Louis," I breathed, dropping shakily with a thud to my knees. "What did you do?"

He coughed, a shudder passing through his body as a flower of red bloomed under his ribs. "Just making sure you didn't get yourself into trouble, you klutz." he wheezed, that stupid grin still on his face.

"You idiot!" I rebuked as tears started to gather at the edge of my version. "You stupid, stupid idiot!"

He chuckled which soon turned into a gasp of pain as he grasped his wound and curled in on himself. "Hold still! An ambulance is on its way, just... just hold on for a few more minutes and everything will be fine!" I ordered, pressing both hands to the bullet wound in an attempt to stop the flow of blood.

"Kate, it's no use, just stop," Louis murmured gently, grabbing my wrist. I looked up at his face, the tears beginning to spill over. His life was slipping through my fingers as each second dragged past. I had to catch it, make sure it stayed intact. "I'm dying... there's nothing you can do."

"I have to do something!" I cried. "I can't just let you die! You can't let yourself die!"

"Just promise me one thing..." he whispered, struggling to keep his eyes open. It wasn't working. Why wasn't it working?! "Just tell my mother-" he coughed, his voice rasping. I winced, pressing my hands harder to the wound. "Just tell her that I'm..."

"That you're what?"

"That I'm Batman."

I shot him a confused look. "What?"

"CUT!!"

"You idiot!" I chided as he sat up, punching him in the arm. "That's not your line!"

"I'm sorry, I couldn't help it!" he laughed, rubbing the area. "Did you really have to hit me so hard?"

"Yes!" I stated. "We need to get through this scene! I hope you're ready to face Walker's rage."

"I was born ready!"

"Good, because he's coming right now."

All colour drained from his face as our drama teacher strode down the aisle towards the stage. Walker was a pretty chill guy, but all hell breaks loose if you get on his bad side (which seemed to be a special talent of Louis'). "LEWIS THOMPSON!!" he bellowed as what little hair he had began to stand on end. "WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY FOR YOURSELF?!"

Louis looked away, clenching his lips tightly together. Oh no, I thought. Don't tell me he's about to... Before I could even finish that thought, a peal of laughter burst from Louis's throat and he doubled over, cackling into his hand. "Oh Louis," I whispered, shaking my head.

Walker's face transformed from red to purple and some poor soul decided to remind him that his shoe was untied which he promptly threw at said person. Before more yelling could commence however, one of the newer students appeared holding a piece of paper. "Uh, is there a Kate Harrison here?" she asked timidly, fingers fiddling nervously with the zip of her jacket.

"That would be me." I answered, raising my hand a little. "What is it?"

"Um," she quickly glanced at the piece of paper. "Principle Cowell would like you to show a new student around."

"I'm losing one of my actors?!" Walker burst out. "Does Simon realise that opening night is only three weeks away?!"

"I-I don't know," she squeaked. "I'm just the-the messenger!"

"It's alright Walker," I soothed. "It's only for today. I'll arrive early for tomorrow's rehearsal and make up for lost time, promise."

"This show is going to be a disaster." He muttered to himself. "None of you know your lines, your acting's terrible and I still don't have my coffee."

"We're going to be just fine Walker; we always are." I reassured him. "Now if you'll excuse me, I must depart."

I quickly grabbed my jumper from one of the seats and left before Walker could throw another tantrum. Humming a song to myself, I made my way across the courtyard towards the front office. "Hey," I greeted the lady at the desk. "I'm here to show a new student around. Are they-"

"In there." she cut me off, pointing a pen at the door to her left as she continued scanning reports in front of her. She was always busy, I'd never seen her leave that desk.

"Thank you," I said before walking to stand in front of the door. I knocked twice and there was the sound of a chair being pushed backwards and footsteps getting closer before the door opened and Principle Cowell looked down at me.

"Ah good, you're here. Please come in." he said, standing aside to allow me to enter. I nodded my head in thanks and shuffled in, staring curiously at the new student sitting at the other end of the table. Her head was buried in her arms, long brown hair concealing her face from me.

"Kate, this is the student you'll be showing around today." Principle Cowell introduced. Her head shot up and my mouth fell open as familiar eyes locked with mine. "I'd like you to meet-"

"Chelsea Foster," I gasped. "What're you doing here?"
