"Meow, Meow, Meow!" Lainy goes as she paws at the door. She really wishes she could have claws but her owners declawed her front paws when she was a kitten so she doesn't ruin any furniture. Lainy's bleeding blue eyes wanted to go outside so bad, but her owners wanted her to stay as an inside cat, which limited her freedom.

"Meow, meow, meow!" Lainy yelled for the last time, this was it, she had finally given up. Lainy went to her cat bed and plopped down, well it wasn't really  a cat bed, it was just some old towels that her owners had leftover. She groomed her gray fur, so it was never messed up because she needs to be 'proper' apparently, because that's the way her owners are.

Lainy felt a weird breeze coming through a open spot in the house, so she suddenly looked up to the breeze of winter. She walked up to where the breeze was coming from. She then got there and climbed the opening in the house, she heard her owners call this thing a 'window' a lot of times. She had short-haired fur, so she was almost immediately cold, but either way, Lainy dealt with it because she didn't want to act like a wimp, and once she escaped from this house out into the outside, she had to act tough in front of possible predators. Lainy tried to search for her owners in case they caught her trying to escape, then her owners would kill her. They'd be so mad.

Once she was done looking for her owners, she took one of her paws and stepped out. Right after she lost her balance and fell straight to the ground. She didn't know the window was that high up! Lainy had eventually gotten up and looked around, everything was spinning and blurry. Suddenly, Lainy felt something on her paws, it felt like liquid, Lainy looked down and saw red, just liquid red. Is this blood? Lainy thought horrifically in her mind. She shook that thought out of her head and just kept walking, well limping by now. How am I already limping and I'm barely out of the house?  The gray cat started to get real impatient.

When she looked around to see what the outside really looked like, she was in shock. She realized that she wasn't just looking through a window anymore, this was real, this was tangible. Lainy saw all of the trees covered in snow, the snow felt chilly and soft. It was a weird sensation. There was a wired fence that separated her owner's property and the forest that no one owned. She knew that she just had  to get over that fence. This was her one chance at adventure. She started limping forward towards the fence. Then, something caught her eye....
