6 o'clock: Sunrise

Just like what the children said, teachers are missing from classes. Today is the second-day students are left alone for self-study. Without the supervision of a teacher, Yana and I enter our classroom, class G, with a Class Leader welcoming us. His name is Furuya Shintaro. We call him Furuya-iinchou.

This classroom has some of Yana's circle of friends. Namihana Daiya is the one who eavesdropped when I talked with Aikawa. Gunjou Kosuke, a former teammate. Suzuhara Miyuki, a former classmate. Konami Mayura and Ishikawa Seichiro, two of the boys. As I become acquainted with them, I also learn that Suzuhara and Konami are childhood friends.

It means, by including Akashima Yana in it, this is a case of triangle love story. I will keep watch on them to make sure nothing bad happens.

Even as I promise myself that, I actually fail to react in time. About Yana, that is.

Maybe because she is overwhelmed after by classmates' welcome, or maybe she has other undisclosed reason, Yana skips dinner to hide at some place. I have Corona trailing after her, so I know she is still within the Gakuen Magi's premise and not in danger. Yet.

In the middle of eating, I hear a voice inside my head, "The Gods. Come,"

It's not Corona's.

Pausing suddenly like that, I am bound to attract the notice of my children who are eating with me. They are already worried about Yana who hasn't shown herself for dinner. They think Yana is avoiding them for what happened after classes. They have nothing to worry about. Yana just lost track of time.

I can't tell them that without mentioning Corona, so I just ask them to not worry. Yana is not that petty.

Now then, that voice and those words. What's going on?

"Nii-san?"

"It's nothing," I tell them warmly so they won't worry about me too

From the looks of it, I don't think they believe me. After dinner and putting the plates to gathering area, I buy a pack of tuna onigiri and set off to join up with Corona. Now is the time to check up on Yana, after giving her enough alone time.

Corona is such a blessing. By having Corona on my side, half of the problems can be taken care of without me doing anything bothersome. Corona would disagree, of course, but for a Guardian Spirit who absorbs my magic, they have no right to disagree.

It's good that I am already back in my room, on my bed, so I won't pass out outdoor tonight. But! My sleep! I can't sleep peacefully like this, Corona. You know that!

"You will live," Corona says, not caring for the fact that I will live, unhealthily

Somehow, while grumbling to Corona about their lack of care for my welfare, I do end up falling in a fitful sleep. Not long after, feeling like several minutes later, I am disturbed by the presence of someone unexpected in my room. Like, why is Yana here in the wee hours of the morning? How long did I manage to sleep? It's not enough time, dang it.

"You forgot to lock the door," Corona reminds me unnecessarily

'Aside from Yana, there's nobody else who will barge in. Probably. Also, as my Guardian Spirit, it's your job to watch my back,' I reply, picking myself up on my bed to listen to what Yana has to say
