By now it was half two, your parents had just got home, and your mum had started cooking.

‘wheres Lilly?’ you asked, suddenly aware of your sisters absence.

‘Oh she’s at Chloes down the road’ your mum said. Chloe was her best friend and they did EVERYTHING together, and practically lived at each other’s houses. The next two hours flew by and before you knew it there was only an hour to go before the Styles’ came round for dinner.

‘Beth, can you please go and get Lilly’ your mum said. You nodded and walked out the door after slipping on your boots.

‘Hey!’ you heard a familiar voice say, and your heard skipped a beat

‘hiya’ you said, trying to act cool.

‘where ya off to?’ Harry asked

‘oh im just getting Lilly from her friends’ you replied, well, you hadn’t screamed in his face yet so this was going well…

‘okay see ya in an hour!’ he said, and with that he walked back into his house and shut the door. After collecting Lilly from chloes you ran back inside and told your mum about the conversation you had just had with Harry.

‘Is this going to happen after EVERY conversation you have with that boy?’ your mum asked

‘maybe, yes’ you answered smiling, and then ran upstairs to check your hair and makeup. You must’ve been upstairs for a while because you soon heard a knock on your door

‘I’LL GET IT!’ you shouted down the stairs.

‘okay!’ your mum said, sighing.

When you opened the door you were greeted with four people, smiling widely but Harrys smile stood out, he stood out, he was, perfect. You realised you hadn’t said anything to them since opening the door ‘hey!’ you said

‘hi!’ said Anne, stepping in and giving you a hug, Gemma did the same. Robin came in and shook your hand, and then there was Harry, who came in and pulled you into the biggest hug ever.

‘hey!’ he said cheekily. They all followed you into the living room and you introduced everyone. When you introduced Harry to Lilly she said

‘That’s that boy Beth loves!’ how embarrassing. You went bright red and wished the floor would just swallow you up at that exact moment. You looked over at Harry, to see him his cheeky smile at you.

‘Drinks?’ your dad suggested, you could’ve just gone over and hugged him at that point for changing the subject.

‘umm yeah please, could I get a glass of water please?’ Robin asked,

‘Mee too!’ said Anne

‘and me!’ said Gemma, your dad looked at Harry

‘you got any orange juice?’ he asked,

‘yeah sure’ your dad laughed, walking into the kitchen. Your mum had gone back into the kitchen to finish cooking.

 ‘So Beth’ Anne said ‘how old are you?’

 ‘im fifteen’ you replied

‘ahh okay so what secondary school do you go to?’ she asked

‘Leventhorpe, in sawbridgeworth’ you answered, 

‘okay so, im guessing you break up for Christmas then soon?’ she asked, clearly just trying to make conversation

‘umm yes, we have got one week left at school then on Friday we break up, half day’ you answered, grateful for her effort to make conversation. You could hear Lilly complaining to your mum in the kitchen
