Chapter 12

Zac'sP.O.V.

Iwas shocked by what I saw in the house. There was a pool in the back,a Japanese kitchen (one where they cook the food in front of you),and a massive garden. I was very impressed with the setup and I waswondering where the others were. I started to walk around and soonfound them in a room talking to a person. I saw that the cat-hybridwas standing while the sorceress was sitting. I was wondering whatthey were doing/talking about. They told me that they were trying tofind some directions to the so called 'Golden Kingdom'. I said thatit sounded like it was a good place to be.

Wesoon left and I was sure that I was going to make them good friends.I was wondering how they met and what their names were. We made ourway out of the house and I was curious as to why the house was there.I decided that it was just there because it could be. We startedwalking in no general direction and I decided to start aconversation. What it was going to be about, I didn't know. I juststarted talking about my life, where I lived, what I did, and who Imet. I looked back at them every now and then, and the Cat-hybridlooked a little bit anxious, but the sorceress seemed intrigued by mystory. I had decided to ask them for their names. The Cat-hybrid hadsaid that his name was Echo, and nothing else. The sorceress had toldme that her name was Sora, and that she was happy to let me know hername. I had decided that in turn, since they had given me theirnames, I would give them my name. I had told them that my name wasZac.

~~~SomeTime Later ~~~

Wewalked silently as night dawned upon us. We came to a small hill andwent over it. When we first saw it it was a sight that had taken ourbreath away. It was a large place with many large portals. We stalkedcloser to it, not knowing whether it would be good or bad. We sawmany people, hybrids, and mobs walking in and out of the portals. Weslowly showed ourselves and come to a few people standing by theentrance with swords and shields. I had asked on what this place was.He said that the younger people call it a "server". Why wasbeyond him, but it is actually just called a lobby, and there aremany of them.

We thanked him for his advise and we headed in. We saw many peopleand mobs standing around telling people what their portal was for. Wewalked over to a person who said that they had a game called bedwars. You have to destroy the other peoples beds then kill them whilegathering money and materials. We thought it sounded fun and wedecided to enter into the portal.

Itbrought us into a waiting room with many screens telling us how manypeople there were and how much longer until the match would start. Ilooked around and saw that neither Echo nor Sora were in the waitingroom with me. I had thought that they would be with me but theyweren't I saw a good bit of people, including a girl with a sapphireamulet. I looked at the other players and thought how to truly playthe game. One of them told me the basics and that we need to protectthe beds at all costs. I was starting to feel better about playingthe game but then wondered how we were supposed to live if we end updying. But before I could talk to someone else about it, the gamestarted.

~~~ahalf hour later~~~

Iwaited in the lobby to see if I could find Echo or Sora. I had caughta sight of both of them coming back from a mini-game called supersmash mobs. I didn't really think it sounded the best, probably sinceI'm a hybrid, but I started to walk towards them. We met somewhere inthe middle and we had decided to head out, since dawn was arrivingshortly. This meant that the mobs would be going back to hiding. Westarted of and we didn't look back.
