Mr. Higashi. That man was nothing but an old man that was more out of his mind than the school's principal. Short with a gruff voice and a very short temper anything could set his fragile ego off. Sasuke was never one to just not to speak his mind and he never held back saracasm. It was one of his flaws, but at least he was honest. That's what he told himself anyways.

Coworkers. All that flashed into his mind was that creepy redhead receptionist who wouldn't get off his back for a second, Karin. Suigetsu worked on the floor with him so he formed some sort of bond with him. They both were strong headed so they complained about the boss behind his back. The only other person who he actually talked with was the powerhouse who could stack half he warehouse in a day, Juugo. The guy was easygoing, did what he had to and was the peace keeper between the other faceless workers. Sasuke liked him.

Hours and hours of lifting and stacking boxes have been his life since he was 13 so quitting would be hard. Years and years have gone into that job. It was 9 at night and Sasuke slumped into his couch as he clutched his phone in one hand and the TV remote in the other. He was annoyed and scoffed at his thoughts and the episode of Jerry Springer that was on, that's how he spent most his nights.

"You the baby daddy now! See I told your stupid ass you was the father."

"This bitch is crazy! The kid ain't even look like me. You can't tell me I look like this ugly ass baby, Jerry!"

"Wow that baby is ugly." Sasuke muttered to himself as the crowed booed the redneck father. When he realized he was talking to himself he changed the channel to something of substance, so he stopped on Cops.

"Perfect."

"No I swear I didn't do it! I've never had cocaine in my life!"

A naked man shoved against a wall pleaded as powder covered his face, the cops inspected his chevy.

"Sir, there's five bags in the trunk of your car."

"It's a friend's!"

"Stupid asshole." He scoffed and looked down at his phone that lit up. It was Naruto trying to call him, so he waited 3 seconds before picking.

"Sasuke, what's up man?" Naruto asked sounded a bit muffled, he was probably in a car.

"Watching Cops, you?"

"I got some news for you, you're gonna shit your pants, bro." Sasuke dreaded what he was gonna say.

"What happened?"

"Okay so you know the whole incident yesterday? The one that you never told me about? Yeah, well anyways it was all Sakura could talk about in third period study and said Ino was gonna solve everything for her. She kept saying that Kiba was an idiot and that made the fatass mad. But what really matters is that today that the fatass was getting his stuff from first period and he gave me that look. And I asked him what his problem was and he wanted to fight me-"

"Wait what do you mean that Ino would take care of everything?" Things were finally strting to click, the gears in his head churning to fit the pieces of the puzzle together. The car ride. The proposition to hang out. The smiles. All for nothing.

"Sakura said that Ino would talk to you or something like that, but anyways as I was saying. Choji walked over to me and said that you shouldn't have beaten up Kiba. I was clueless because I had no idea. So he shouted that he loved Sakura! Can you believe that?! And he- And he" Naruto wheezed and tried to continue. "Said that YOU were the one getting in his way because she liked you!"

His laugh boomed then sounded like a tire deflating. Sasuke then finally understood what he said. A thousand pound weight suddenly collasped onto his chest. Sakura Haruno? The fact that she might even have the slightest bit of any positive feelings for him woud've shocked him completely. She's practically been his bully for years so the the slightest possibility of her ever liking him would never happen. He wished she'd drop off the face of the planet and he knew she felt the same.
