Chapter #9

"Adilyn, we need to talk about this Cake. I don't think it's going to work out," I said.

"No, no, just keep going! It's going to be just fine!" She pleaded. "Just keep it going! Besides, Peyton already bought the tickets and sent them to the families."

"If it comes close to failing," I popped off the bottle cork with my teeth. "Then we're stopping it."

"Fine. If it comes close to failing, we'll trash it." 

I poured a few shots of vodka into my mouth, swallowing it. "Just like everything else." I poured the rest of the liquid down my throat.

"I wish you the best of luck, Jackie," Adilyn said, her voice slurring with each word, telling me that she's drunk as well. "Try to hold it in!"

"I don't think I can!" I squealed out and dropped my phone, then made my way to the living room of my apartment.

My arms snaked around Calum's neck, and my lips met his jawline. "I could cut myself with this," I whispered into his ear, then ran my lips across his cheek.

"Are you drunk, Jacklyn?" He asked, and I giggled.

Since I had no control over my actions, he couldn't blame me for doing what I was about to do.

Next Day

"That's the second time that we've had sex! Ever!" Calum shouted at me and ground his teeth together. "This is getting annoying!"

I sat on the couch and listened to him, knowing that it was my fault. I furrowed my eyebrows and shook my head. "Technically, this is the first! The other time was your fault!"

"But it's your fault for getting drunk!" He yelled back. "I'm not even into you!"

"I know, but -" I bit my lip and closed my eyes, holding back the tears.

My phone rang, so I stood up and answered it.

"Hey, Jackie. Ashton got mad at me for drinking and forcing him into sex. How was your time?" Adilyn asked me and sighed.

"Same." I rubbed my eyes and shrugged, even though I knew she couldn't see.

Calum sighed and walked away, going to his room.

"So, what was Ingredient Six again?" I asked, my mind blank.

"I don't remember. I think it might be something." I heard her sigh from the other line. "I'm just tired. Maybe we should both get some sleep."

"I have something for Ingredient Six," I said. "How about buying plane tickets so they can have a reunion?"

"Yeah, perfect. Tell Peyton and have her buy the tickets."

"Okay. Call you later." I hung up and typed in Peyton's number. She answered immediately.

"Peyton, we need plane tickets for a reunion for the boys. It'll be fun to do and it'll help them."

"I'll be over in a second." She hung up.

Seconds later, the front door to the apartment opened and Peyton came inside. She walked over to me and laid me down.

"Jackie, can you do me a favor?" She asked.

"Yeah," I giggled. "What is it?"

"Close your eyes and fall asleep. Can you do that for me?"

"I can try."

Calum's Point Of View
I walked out of my room and caught Peyton forcing Jackie to sleep. I was slightly happy with it, but sort of sad. Jackie looked so miserable.

Jackie was finally asleep, so I shook my head and made my way over to where Peyton was.

"Peyton, why does Jackie always act as if she's making a cake? She talks as if she's looking for ingredients, like Ingredient One and Ingredient Two and stuff. I want to know what it's about," I asked.

"Jackie and her friends are sending each other cake ingredients so they can make the same cake in different parts of the world," Peyton replied as she put away her computer.

"Who are her friends? Who else is doing it?" I need to know these things, Peyton. Tell me the answers.

"Just friends from Australia and England and them. When they finish making their cakes, they're going to come down and showcase them or whatever. I'm just needed for my money."

"Awe, that's pretty sad. If they're just using you for your money, then they aren't really your friends."

"They hang out with me and ask for my help but -" She froze and seemed to be thinking about something. Then she smiled. "Do you want to help me ruin their cake?"
