final tests

Tris' POV

"Tris, come on you have to wake up," groans Christina.

 I move slightly to signal I'm awake then more abruptly when I realize today is the day of the final test, I'm scared but excited, if I pass I will officially be dauntless, but what if they find I'm divergent then I'll be dead. I shiver at the word divergent, Christina notices so I pretend its cold. Tobias taught me how to hide it but one mistake could end me.

---------time lapse----------

I wobble as I walk up to the chair with clenched fists my palms are damp with cold sweat, Christina jut had her go and is now smiling nervously. after what seemed like forever I reach the chair I glance over at Tobias before sitting, I had one thought in my head: this could be the end.

Tobias' POV

I see Tris' fearful look as she glances up at me, then Eric plunges the needle into the side of her neck I see her tremble the her panicked face then she grabs something and waves it into the air, she has pure terror in her expression I can not watch.

---------TIME LAPSE---------

Finally its over, nobody comes close to her time she will probably rank first . I hope she does. as soon as she is done she walks over to me casually grabs my hand signalling me to follow her, we reach an empty corridor and she pull me in for a passionate kiss, then we hear footsteps and we stop pretending to go in different directions we cant let anyone find out about us until we know the rankings. theni see tris' walking towards me "we should probably go to the pit for the rankings before it starts," I say.

 we start walking towards the pit we split up before we walk in.

Tris' POV

as  enter the pit I realize that I have to choose my job and I'm not really sure what I want to do I know I want to be initiate trianer but that's only part time so I will have to choose another one as well I was thinking I could work with tori In the tattoo parlor but what if I make a mistake then my thought is broken when Christina comes and hugs me "You came first!" she exclaimed. 

wait  came first I look at the board and see my name right at the top "i came first " I say dazed and relieved. 

I can't contain myself I scream with joy,to my surprise nobody stares at me like they would in abnegation "Tris what job do you choose" says Eric calmly, 

I walk onto the stage I still don't know they'll expect me to choose leader but I know that's not what I want to be. " I choose initiate trainer and tattoo artist" I say trying to be confident.

Then I walk of the stage back to my seat. When it's over Christina had chosen to have her own clothes shop, will had chosen to be a leader , Uriah had chosen to be a faction representative, marlens had chosen to be a nurse and Lynn had chosen to be a leader.
