An unbearable pain goes through my whole body as I wake up. It takes a while before I have the strength to open my eyes. I look up at the cloudy yet blue sky and see some trees, which cast a shadow over me.

I... fell asleep? I think confused as I try sit up. My vision becomes blurry again and I sigh deeply as I sit down again, holding my head.

It takes a while until my vision is finally clear again and my body hurts less. I decide to try to get up again. I smile softly when I succeed and when I take a look around.

When I do, I jump back and let out a loud scream in both fear and pure disgust. I back away quickly as I fight back the urge to throw up, which is almost impossible.

Tears welm up in my eyes when I see the limp bodies, their ripped clothes drenched with blood. I gasp as I see the corpse from one of the girls, which looks awful. Her eyes are open, but her eye sockets are empty and blood flows out if them slightly.

She misses her left arm, which seems to be ripped off, and blood streams from the corner of her mouth, as well from her nose.

Though, she's not the one who's has been through the most. One of the poor boy's guts are everywhere except from where they should be.

I don't even want to know which monster has the power, and the urge, of ripping someone's guts out of his body. It even looks like he was still alive, the look of pure pain and despair engraved on his face forever.

I'm too much in shock to do anything, I only dig my nails into the skin of my hand palm, leaving tiny wounds which add blood to the already bloody red ground.

W-what happened? I think in full panic. I shake my head and turn around before I start to run. It's slowly at first, because I'm still in shock, but I soon run as quickly as I can. I don't care where I'm going to, I just have to get away as fast as possible.

I keep running away until I'm out of breath. Only then I see a path of blood crossing the forest, like someone crawled forward. I bite my lower lip, considering if I'd take a look or not. Though I know it's a bad idea, I have to know what happened.

I move my feet slowly into the direction if the blood and follow the path unsurely. After a few minutes, I see a figure in the distance, laying on the ground. I bite my lower lip nervously, stepping slowly closer towards the figure.

When I'm close enough, I see it's a blonde haired boy, floating in his own blood. To my surprise, he stills breathes. It's slow and raspy, but at least he still does. His eyes are half opened as he glares at me.

"G-Grace..." He says with fear in his voice, but he doesn't have the power to move. I back off confused yet scared when I notice the fear in his voice is because of me.

"A-are you scared of me? What's going on? What happened?" I'm afraid of the answer, but I have to know. What happened after the unbearable pain? What happened after everything went black?

He looks confused at me, still afraid but somehow a bit less than before. "Y-you," he answers weakly.

I shake my head, not understanding. "M-me? Of course not! I'd never do something like that! Are you kidding me?! Is this a stupid joke from you and the others?" I ask Axel, becoming angry.

This has to be a joke. I think, but it's more like hoping, because something tells me it's not just a damn joke.

"No Grace... I wish it was only a joke. If it was, my friends would still be a-alive." His voice breaks at the end while tears fill his blood stained eyes.

Wow... I think surprised. I've never seen him crying before. I mean, of course I haven't seen him crying before, he's the school's bad boy and jock, people like him don't cry. But though he does now. He looks so vulnerable...

I kneel down next to him, not carring about the blood because my clothes are soaked in blood already.

"I'm so sorry for you Axel," I whisper with a frown. "But you have to believe me when I say I don't know what's going on." For the first time, I actually feel bad for him, even if he has bullied both me and Emily so many times, I still do.

He looks back up at me, I can see the pain in his eyes. I sigh and get up.

"We should go away. I'll call an ambulance for you."

He nods weakly, trying to wipe away the tears, without succes. I wait with him, trying to keep him calm, which doesn't work that well because I'm scared myself.

After a quarter, the ambulance is finally here. Axel has already fainted, but who can blame him, his wounds are so bad. At least he still breathes... That's a good sign, right?

They take him into the ambulance and ask if I want to go with them. I nod unsurely before get in. I look down t him and sigh, but look up when they drive away. I look back at the now deep red forest as I hear multiple sirens, probably the police and other ambulances.

Then we leave the scene behind us, on our way to the hospital.
