Ari

"Natalia! Wait up!" I threw my books in my locker, and grabbed my book sack. I closed my locker and walked next to her.

"Sup Ari?" I flipped my hair all to one side of my head, and looked at her. "Not much. Just kinda failed my math test."

She rolled her eyes. "How about you try studying every once in a while? I told you I could help."

"Well, the test is already over. Too late. Hey, wanna sleep over tonight? Go to the mall?"

She nodded. "Sure. Sounds like-" before she could finish her sentence, someone rammed into her, pushing her to the ground.

Her books flew everywhere, and her butt hit the wet pavement. I ran after a few papers flying in the wind, and shuffled them together.

"Hey. You okay?" She nodded, pushing her glasses back on the top of her nose.

I stood up, and watched as the same guy who pushed her walked off. He didn't even look back, or say sorry.

"Hey bud! Watch where you're going next time!!" I had never seen him before at school. Maybe new? Maybe old? Who knows. He's rude.

"Need some help?" I turned around, and saw a guy kneeling down, taking all Natalia's books, putting them in a nice, neat little pile.

I walked over to them, and took all the papers in my hands, and shoved them in a pocket of one of her binders.

"Thanks." Said Natalia. "That guy was a jerk." He stood up, and held out a hand to her. "Yeah. What kind of guy does that to a lady?"

Natalia blinked rapidly, and smoothed  a piece of hair behind her ear. "Thanks."

He was taller than both of us. He had light, pale skin, that looked murky gray in the darkness of the blackish, gloomy weather.

His eyes were a dark green, and his hair was nicely combed to the side of his head. He ran a hand through it, once he saw I was staring.

"Oh. I'm Darian." He put a hand out for Natalia to shake, and then me. His grip was amazingly strong. I bet if he wanted to, be could throw me up into the sky, with just a touch.

"I'm Ari. And this is Natalia. Nice to meet you, Darian." He had a soft smile, with bright white teeth. All perfectly straight, almost too straight, too perfect.

He got back down on one knee, picking up all of Natalia's books, handing them to her. "Here. The bottoms are kinda wet." He said, smoothing a hand on his leather jacket.

She wiped the very bottom book on her knee, and put them in the booksack. "Thanks...really."

He smiled, and put both hands in his pockets. "I'll catch you two ladies around I hope?" We both nodded vigorously, as he walked off.

I watched him go. With every step, he landed in a small puddle, created by this afternoons rainstorm. "Ari? Hello."

I turned to Natalia, who had the biggest smile plastered on her face. "Omg! Did you see how cute he was??"

I nodded. "Yeah...sure was a cutie? Wasn't he?" She rolled her eyes, and started to blush. "The way he looked at me! And those eyes. Those eyes! I could melt in them."

I chuckled. "Come on. My moms waiting for us."

Darian

I could still hear them talking way after I'd left, after I was in my car. I turned the key in the ignition, and backed out of the school parking lot.

Those girls were very cute. Or "cuties" should I say? They both smelled so sweet. I want nothing more than to sink my teeth into them, and suck the lives out of them.

It's been a while since I've fed. But they were so nice, and pretty...no. Stop it Darian. Remember what father said. Don't fall for them. They're humans. Putrid beings that walk this earth.

I really don't like playing the nice guy character that much...but that was different, what just happened. Maybe this new look is working for me. Maybe I should stick with it.

A/N: thanks for reading!! Hope you all enjoyed! Love you!!
