"Sir, can you see that up ahead?"
"Yeah Sam, it looks like rocks on the tunnel floor. Wait a minute, it looks like the tunnel is completely blocked off."
"Or not dug out yet."
"Yeah, your right. Too bad we couldn't get the creature to finish it off for us."
"Aw, don't tell me we have to go back!"
"I'm afraid so, Alex. I'm sorry."
"It's not your fault. It's just that, my hand, it really hurts. I just want to get back to the shuttle and get this suit off, so I can get something for the pain."
"I know, but we have no choice. Try to occupy your mind with something else if you can."
"Uh... Is it okay if I sing?"
"That depends."
"On what?"
"On whether or not you can carry a tune. Otherwise, you'll drive us all crazy. Oh, and no screamin' demon stuff please."
"I can carry a tune fairly well. I've been asked to sing at several weddings. It'll be harder now of course. You might hear a grunt or a groan once in awhile."
"That's okay. Just make it something melodic and pleasant."
"Okay folks, this one's an oldie, by an unknown and obscure artist... ahem!
Momma, look at us

Daddy, can you see?
Are you proud of me?
I grew up fast
Thanks for the past
The future's mine, I know
It's funny I know
How things go
We never thought
We'd end up here
But here we are
So very far
Far from the place
Where we began
Brothers, sister
Are you happy like me?
Metal rusts
Life got to us
Remember when we were free?
Good times, bad times
Together we faced them all
Let's remember the good
Forget the bad
And walk through the future hand in hand
It's funny I know
How things go
We never thought
We'd end up here
But here we are
So very far
Far from the place
Where we began..."
