Weeks had gone by, and I still didn't know her name. She had never once said hi or waved, when I was too busy looking at her. I thought I wouldn't had ever known her, but who knew, the first time I actually decide to go to the mall, I meet her. I was looking in one of the many book store, and when I turned the corner, there she was. Too caught up in a book to notice I was looking. I had grabbed a random book from the shelf and sat at the table next to her. She was reading, something about the Salem Witch Trails, which made me more interested. She must have caught me looking at her, because next thing I knew she was walking toward me. She smiled at me and she sat down beside me. "Your that one girl from school, right?" I smiled and nodded. "I'm Carmine. I just moved here from Boston." I didn't know what to say, but all I said was, "Boston's okay." I felt like a complete idiot. She laughed, and she asked for my name. I told her Lanny was my name, cause it is. Then, she said she had to go, and I noticed she left her book. There was something sticking out of it, I pulled it out, and it was her number and it said,"Text me." I was shocked she gave me her number. I had hurried home, to tell my cat, Professor Purrstien, that I got her number. Yes I talk to my cat, that is completely normal, when you are a loner.

At around 8:40pm I decided to text Carmine. I was so nervous to talk to her, for some odd reason.
Lanny: Hey, it's Lanny from the book store.
Carmine: Hey, what are you doing tomorrow?
Lanny: Um.....going to school. You?
Carmine: I was going to ask if you wanted to ditch we me?
Lanny: I don't know. I really can't miss school, cause my parents want me to get straight A's. It's only for college purposes.
Carmine: oh, I'll just ask someone else..
Lanny: No, it's fine I'll ditch with you.
Carmine: Cool, meet me on the front lawn at 7:45. Before 1st period. See ya then;)

Ditching school, what was I thinking. But, at least I'll be with her. Honestly, now I think I like her more then a friend.
