It was about 2 am when all of a sudden you heard Ethan yell in your ear. You sit up in bed and see him curled in a ball on the bed. He looked absolutely terrified, almost tears in his eyes. You crawl over to him and hug him. He cries into your shoulder. "What's wrong Ethan!?"
He shakes his head and looks at you in extreme fear. "I had this dream... and I was with you... but someone, they hurt you. And..... you didn't make it.." He looked entirely sincere and you felt bad. You had him lay back down and he shut his eyes with his arms tightly around you. He was afraid, and didn't want you hurt. He pulled you closely, kissing the back of your neck. He whispered in your ear. "With me, no one will dare hurt you.. I promise." And like that, you were asleep. Helping him sleep through the night.
