The Forgotten Ones

First Time Shifting

(Narrator's POV)
As the three sleep, Gavin and Rocky (a couple of horse shifters/catchers) are closing in on them. The sun starts to peer threw the trees next to the creek. Gavin and Rocky stand over the three in human form with tamed non shifter horses. Blue wakes up with a rope around her neck and Gavin and Rocky are ready to put up with a fight. Blue stands up and talks to Wind and Ivy in a mind link, "Wake up! Now!" Wind and Ivy woke up instantly. The two boys swing ropes around Blues legs and pull her onto her side. Rocky gets off his horse. "I know what you and the other mare are." He whispers in her ear, while he pets her head.
(Blue's pov)
There's these two guys, both Brown headed,
The guy gets up off my head, and goes to Ivy. Ivy is still on the ground already tied up. They didn't rope Wind Runner though. Why didn't they rope him? I think to my self. The guys untie our legs and make us stand up. They each pull us behind their very strong horses. Ivy and me put up a huge fight all the way to their ranch. They waited for us to calm down enough before they put Ivy and myself into a corral. I smelled other horses from my herd and whinnied loud for my herd. One of the brown headed guys came to Ivy's and my corral. He tries to take me to another corral. "Easy girl!" He said in a mind link. I calmed down a little bit since he could speak to me with me understanding, but he never did get the halter on me. Instead he took Ivy out, she struggled a bit but wasn't strong enough so she just gave up. He fed and gave her water, and came back to me with some feed and a huge bucket of water. I run up to him and I drinked half of the bucket down. "How do y'all even survive out their?!?" He says in a mind link "Oh, I'm Rocky,and that there is Gavin." He points to the other brown haired boy who is next to the barn. Rocky takes out a halter and puts it on me, then leads me to the barn. Out of no where, Wind Runner runs up and tries to nip me to get me running, I kick at him in responce. Rocky throws a laso around Wind's neck, and drags him to the corral I was in. Aft
Rocky then took me to a stall with shavings and hay. He must have been crazy to trap me in a stall. I could go crazy in here, and he could get killed. "You can change into a human you know." I looked at him like he was crazy. "Yeah, a human, all you have to do is think about the human form." Rocky said in our mind link. "No, it's not possible! I'm a horse!" "Your a horse shifter, you can shift into a human, whenever you want to." We argued for a minute then I started to think about my human form. Brown hair. Blue eyes. Tan skin. After a couple of minutes, I started to change. I whinnied, and after a second, my whinny turned into a girl screaming. I looked at Rocky, and he had clothes in his hand. I put them on quickly, then he walked me to the house. As we were walking, I kept tripping over my two feet, I still can't believe I have TWO feet. I got into the house, and there were A LOT of guys in there. Everyone was staring at me, and I didn't see Gavin or Ivy. " Rocky, is that her???" A lady said in the back ground. "Yea, Brea, that's her... And her friend should be in any second."
(Ivy's POV)
Blue's gone and I'm all alone! Well except for this creep staring at me. I'm caught! I can't believe the humans got me! I look over and Creepo is not by the building anymore, he's is in the pen with me! I think I'm gonna lose it and I'm just about to try and escape when he speaks to me. He speaks through a mind link because I can understand him and his mouth isn't moving. "It's all going to be ok, my name's Gavin." He says as he comes closer, a look of concern deep in his bright blue eyes. He must know I'm hurt. I think to myself. "Will you let me help you?" He asks calmly. I just nod my horse head. He walks slowly over and brings a rope up to me, I was not having it with the ropes. I ran backwards and shook my head, then I walked up to him, took the rope and threw it. "Hey!" He said in mind link. Next I shoved my head under his arm and spoke to him for the first time. "I'll trust you as long as you don't put that stuff on me." "Ok. That's a fair deal." He replied then took me to the building he was standing by before. He took me into this small box with wood shavings on the ground. "Alright, you have a choice. You can stay in her as a horse. Oooor you can come inside as a human." "What do you mean as a human? I can't be human." "Yes you can. All you have to do is think it and you will be it." "So if I think I'm a bird I'll become a bird?" I asked seriously. "Really? No that's not how it works, you only have two forms, horse and human." I started to think what it would be like if he was right, I could change forms. Then I start feeling this tingling and then the pain. It was my injured leg. I screamed out, nothing happened and I was suddenly exhausted. "Oh my gosh I'm so sorry I forgot about your leg! If your injured you won't have the energy to change, also if it has to do with a bone injury you won't be able to change until it is straightened out. But don't worry we heal extremely fast." He ran off leaving the door open, but I was too tired and weak to even try to escape.

(Gavin's POV)
I called to Rocky in a mind link,"Rocky I need help! The girls hurt, and it's in the bone, she can't change." "Has she tried?" "Yes and she's now exhausted to the point she can't even get up!" "Ok I'll be out with the doctor!" I ran back to the barn to see her. She was lying down looking out the stall, her eyes lit up a little bit when she saw me. "Don't worry sweet, help is coming right now." He kissed my large cheek bone then stood up to the sounds of many footsteps. "Hey Doc! It's this one here." He pointed to my leg. "Ah let's see here?" He did many things I was half asleep for, asleep with my head on Gavin's lap. Then all of a sudden they grab ahold of my leg and pull really hard, all in one motion! I screamed out in pain and rolled back away from them. It had hurt really bad. Then I noticed I didn't have hooves. I had been thinking about my human form before they did that and I think I changed. Next thing I know Gavin is covering me up, he hands me some clothing and helps me put it on. He also helps me balance and walk on these weird two feet. "You ok?" He asks me "Yea I guess." By the time we got to the house I could walk on my own. I walk in and look for Blue, I don't know what we're called in human form but I'm still gonna call her Blue for now. Luckily I still have my keen sense of smell and I find her quickly. "This is crazy!" "It is but it's kinda cool!" She replied then hugged me. "I'm so glad your ok!" "Me too, Blue!"
