Chapter Three

"No way, the lime skittle is ten times better than the new green apple!" I argued, making a disgusted face.

"Are you kidding me?" Jack looked at me incredulously. "Green apple is awesome. When was the last time you actually ate a lime?"

"There was just one in my salad..." I smirked, knowing I'd won.

"Oh, green apple is still better..." Jack muttered and I laughed as I shook my head.

Who knows how long we could've gone on arguing about the better skittle flavor, but before I could respond we were interrupted by two figures walking up to our table. I looked up at the two brunette guys towering above us and then back to Jack. He was grinning brilliantly as he stood up.

I watched as he greeted both of them and I let my eyes wander to the older looking of the two. His sultry, dark brown hair was disheveled and spiked messily. He wore a white v-neck that contrasted with his tan skin and conveniently displayed his muscular arms and the outline of his toned stomach. My eyes dropped from his khaki jeans to the red vans before returning to his face. My gaze landed on his jawline which was defined, but not in an overly obnoxious way. As my eyes traced along his jawline they came to His pale red lips, pulled into a smirk and as my eyes moved towards his I realized they were on me.

"I'm Cameron." His smirk deepened as he stuck his hand out for me. I could feel my cheeks heating up as I slowly placed my hand in his.

"Liv."

"And I'm Shawn!" The other boy whipped around from his conversation with Jack and called out excitedly.

"Nice to meet you, both of you."

"It's a pleasure to meet you too, and now that we all know each other, what are we going to do because Shawn and I are tired of being pent up in a hotel room."

"Liv and I had only planned up to dinner, but I think there's a boardwalk a couple blocks over, down by the beach..." Jack suggested and we all were nodding our heads in agreement with the idea.

"Race you there!" The words tumbled from Cameron's mouth before grabbing my hand and taking off out of the restaurant. I ran behind him laughing as he sprinted out of the door and over to his car. We both jumped into the car and he jammed the key into the ignition, starting the car and pulling out if the parking lot in a matter of seconds. He hit the radio and began obnoxiously lip-syncing and flailing his arms in attempts to dance. I let my head tilt back as laughter escaped my body. The giggles kept coming as Cameron weaved wildly throughout the streets towards the boardwalk.

"We won!" Cameron yelled as he hopped out of the car. I just shook my head and laughed under my breath as I slid of the passenger side door.

"How do you have so much energy?"

"We got a lot of candy in fan mail and me and Shawn had a contest to see who could eat the most the fastest," his words sped out of his mouth unbroken by a breath and I couldn't restrain my giggle.

Jack pulled into the parking lot moments later and him in Shawn began walking over to us.

"Hey looks like the losers finally decided to show up." Cameron taunted.

“Ha ha. You are so funny, can I be you?” Jack remarked as he rolled his eyes. “Anyways, I want to go get some crab fries, whose with me?”

“We literally just finished eating…”

“There was a solid ten minute gap, I think it’s about time to start again.” I just shook my head, but Shawn pounced on the chance to get food.

“So crab fries now or…?” He began while leaning to the left as if he was itching to get moving. Instead of responding Jack simply bolted off in the direction of the food and Shawn pivoted and took off in the same direction.

“Byee, it was so nice spending time with you guys. Always good to know you guys got my back.” Cameron called out while waving at their disappearing figures. I let go of a few chuckles as Cameron continued to wave like a young child. “Great friends I have, but anyways, what do you want to do?”
