//Chapter three// I hope you're okay

It was finally spring break. I walked into my house tiredly. "Hey, girlfriend!" Called Maria from the living room. I greeted her. I walked up to my room. Then I heard little knocks on my window. I walked slowly to the window. I opened my curtains to see Randy throwing pebbles at my window. He lit his cigarette and motioned me to come down. Just as I got home. Thanks.

I met him down there. "I don't get why you hang with me. Aren't I too innocent?" I mocked. He rolled his eyes and puffed out some smoke. We hung out for a few hours doing stupid stuff like drinking until we puke. Randy has been drinking the most.

"I should head back. Bye," I said walking back. It was already sundown. I didn't even say where I was going to Maria. Randy caught up to me to speak to me in private.

"Why'd you freak out when your Aunt was trying to open the door?" Randy asked. I avoided eye contact because he reminds me too much of his father and because I'm a terrible liar. I shrugged and continued to walk back.

"Did my dad...do anything?" Randy asked aggressively. He cornered me, blocking all possible escapes.

"Randy you're drunk," I sighed pushing him away. He came back to me and look at me in the eyes. I tried to avoid eye contact.

"You didn't answer my damn question. Did he do anything?" Randy said harshly. I tried to push past him, but he stood his ground.

"No! He didn't! I have to go home," I said. He flipped his messy ginger hair.

"No, you don't. Sure it's been 7 years, but I still know when something up," Randy said. His mood swings are really giving me whiplash.

"Nothings up! Oh my god!" I yelled as I pushed past him harder. I got out of he corner and began to walk home faster. If he tells his dad, he's basically dead. I'm the only reason he's not being abused.

I got home and ran up to my room. I brushed my teeth, hair, ect. I then fell asleep right away. I hope he's doing okay.
