Chapter 3:Training Required

"Jaune. Jaune Arc."The blonde answered the Faunas feebly as he seemed to want to throw up again."Hey head to the bathroom quickly. You don't want to throw up when you're jumping out otherwise you'll regret it. Trust me."Alex said as he walked over and gently tapped Jaune on the shoulder."Huh. Despite looking like someone who isn't capable of fighting whatsoever you have a good muscle figure. Maybe I can train you if we make it out of this battle alive."

Jaune's eyes lit up immediately as he heard the suggestion of training."Really?!"He exclaimed in shock as he never expected anyone to take him under."Yeah otherwise why would I bring up the subject of training you?." At those words Jaune stopped functioning for a few moments and Alex being attentive to his potential student,slapped him across the cheek really hard.

He let out a piercing scream of pain.Which hurt Alex's sensitive ears and caused them to protrude from his hair."Hey! Don't go blank just before we get into a fight. Unless you want to have a quick death that is." Jaune noticed the ears and was speechless as he had never seen a Faunus his entire life.Because he had spent most of his life living with his family."What? Surprised that I'm a Faunus? Don't be. I'm not that special,I just have fox ears and that's it. I'm basically like a human except I have foxy ears and yes if you look under my hair,I also have human ears."As he said so,Alex lifted his hair which covered the sides of his head and revealed human ears."So yes I have four ears..."He said as his ears slinked down back into his ear

Jaune couldn't help but to keep staring as he couldn't process how a Faunus' body works."It's just like being a human for him but to the others they consider him a freak despite looking so human. Why?" He thought to himself as he walked around Alex,examining every non-human aspect of him.

"I don't have a tail. Some of the fox type Faunus have tails and ears or one of the two. I was born with the ears as you can clearly see. If you think that having a tail is good...then you're wrong because I heard it can be a pain to groom. It's so fluffy so you're going to have to groom it frequently. Personally I groom my own hair so that I can hide my ears."Alex said with a look full of pride as his ears twitched inside of his hair making it look like his hair was moving.

"Oh! I se--huh?"Jaune was cut off by a blaring alarm."Jaune. Get ready we're jumping now."The Faunus looked different as he was now serious about what he was saying,he didn't look like the friendly character that Jaune met earlier.Feeling a lump in his throat,he gulped and the bay doors opened up.

"GO! GO! GO!"Alex screamed as he jumped out of the plane with a backflip just for style.

Jaune tried to followed but stopped short of the edge.He didn't have a chance to turn back as someone pushed him out of the plane.

His screams could match multiple Nevermore screeches.

A few moments of listening to Jaune screaming as he plummeted towards the ground,Alex hit the ground with a thud and landed on his legs while his student hit face first.

Groaning as he got up,he began to scan his surroundings and saw that there were humanoid bodies littering the ground,most of them were Faunus as their bodies had animalistic features. A silent scream left his mouth as an Ursa Major was feasting on the remains of a cat Faunus.

"Damn..."Alex grunted out as he stood up and walked towards the Ursa and unsheathed Assassin's Breath. The sound sent chills down anyone's spine apart from him as it was a familiar sound that had accompanied him,his entire life. Whether it be striking someone or a Grimm down,it always accompanied him.

The Major noticed him and immediately stopped to turn and face him. The scars that ran over it's body showed that the soldiers were trying to kill it but clearly failed."So you're the one who did this."Alex said with no hint of emotion.Jaune simply watched as the bear slowly moved towards the man wielding the katana before bursting into a sprint,He still didn't bother moving at least not until the Ursa Major was close to him.

All of a sudden the bear started to growl in pain and the blade of Alex's sword was stained with black blood and his pose was different...his blade was now pointed towards the ground but before it was pointing upwards,In Jaune's mind he tried to think of explanations of how that was possible."Is his semblance speed?"He thought as the redhead began to back away from the bear,not out of fear but out of the ability to anger it and to toy with it."Is that all? I wonder how an animal like you managed to kill all these poor soldiers."Alex taunted the Ursa Major and it charged at him again and he swung the katana in three different directions at such speed that the wind roared alongside his slashed and soon enough the beast lay in pieces before him,soon dissolving into nothingness."Well that was fun wasn't it Jaune?"Alex said as he turned around smiling as he walked back to him."This is the power you can have if you're brave. So be brave even if you're afraid because the best hunter and huntresses are those who are brave even when afraid."
