I thought I could handle it,
every part of me wants to give up,
but that wouldn't be fair.
I thought I could forget it,
forget what you did to me,
I wasn't aware.
I thought I could start again,
listen to your side of the story,
Fix all the tears.
But it's difficult, I'm sorry,
my happiness is forced.
Having you back in my life,
isn't something I'd endorse.
I'm a changed person,
And I thought I was over you,
but I'm not - these words wouldn't have come.
Your name is still firmly inked in to my heart.
