Of course, three hours later, Miley, Matt and Chrissa were still shopping. For what? I don't know, Miley practically bought every shop she went into. For Chrissa, it didn't take her 5 minutes before she found herself some smart shorts and a pretty, frilly top. Matt wasn't a girl, he didn't shop and make a day of it, he already had his outfit planned out after booking the tickets.
Matt: Miles, we need to go!
Chrissa: Good luck Matty, no way can you hurry that girl up.
Miley swings open the changing room curtain, and gestures to Matt to move out the way, she shoves past and lines up at the tills.
Chrissa: Have you asked her what's up? Something must of happened...
Matt: Oh Chris, you must've never tried asking a girl what's wrong, it only ends one way.
Unaware, Miley storms over, sliding in between them both and grabbing them by the arm.
Miley: Talking about me?
Chrissa: I don't know why you always think-
Matt: Miles. What's wrong?
Miley: I thought you'd never ask.
The three of them find a seat in a restaurant window, well when I say 'restaurant' I mean Burger King, Miley only eats fast food.
Chrissa: We've bought you food, found you a seat, are you going to spill?
Miley takes another bite of her chicken burger, you'd think she was doing this for attention, that certainly sounds like a Miley thing to do.
As she swallows, Matt and Chrissa's agitation grows.
Miley: Nick tried it on with me, and now he's back to Chrissa. That's exactly why you came in with him, wasn't it Chrissa?
Miley turns to her
Miley: You two are back to being a thing.
Chrissa: Maybe we are. How is it any of your business? I'm sorry Matt but I'm getting the taxi home.
Chrissa struts off, and Miley stands there, regretting her own words, just a daily thing she does. Matt, well... he was lost for words. Somehow, he managed to find some.
Matt: You just had to, didn't you?
Finally, Miley had nothing to say, no words to answer back with. She'd known Chrissa since 5th grade. As the silence grew, Matt decided to head back to the car with Miley. They took a long awkward drive back to Miley's and without saying goodbye, Miley was back at home.
Matt cared about Chrissa, he needed to make sure she was back at home, safe. He drove past her house, but no lights were on. He drove his Mercedes up the drive, pulled the break, and stepped out, slamming the door behind himself. It was dark, which didn't help Matt as for some reason, he was still wearing his sunglasses. As he walked around the side of the house, there was Chrissa, sitting on the doorstep with her head in her hands.
Chrissa jumped a little, as she noticed Matt, pulling her hands away from her face.Matt: I didn't mean to scare you... I just came to check on you.
Chrissa: Well I'm fine Matthew, leave me be.
As Matt turned his back on Chrissa and began to walk, Chrissa cried;
Chrissa: I'm sorry Matty. Please wait here with me.
