"Hey, it's really nice to meet you.." I stared blankly at the gorgeous boy with the long hair that stood in front of me with his arm extended towards me "I'm Ashton." His beautiful hazel eyes captivated me in a way that I really don't understand.
I felt a tug on my arm and it knocked me out of the trance I had deeply fallen into. The boy, Ashton, lightly giggled to himself as Maisie dragged me through the entrance. I shook my head in embarrassment as we made our way towards the kitchen.
Maisie passed me a drink. I cautiously accepted the pink liquid and swirled it around the plastic cup, wary of what might happen if I took a sip. I had been so scared to socialize. Too scared to leave my house. I needed to forget about him.
I walk through to the living room, feeling the bass of the music shake through my legs, dissipating as it moves up my body. The smell of sweaty teenagers mixes with the scent of strong cologne creating the perfect aroma for a high school party.
I see a few familiar faces when scanning through the crowds of people huddled in the living room. I spot Ashton. He is sat with a group of boys that I don't recognise but then again, I don't know him, he's probably an asshole.
He caught my staring eye. I quickly push through the crowds of people and open the sliding door into the backyard. I close the door behind me and set down on the patio.
Taking a cigarette out of the packet in my jacket pocket, I hear the doors open behind me and turn to see an unfamiliar face staring at me. I turn away and light the end of the cigarette. I had only taken up smoking since the incident, it helped me take my mind off of it.
Staring into the garden, I catch a glimpse of the boy sitting down beside me in the corner of my eye. Turning to face him, I smile and he smiles back. 'Hey, could I please have a cigarette?' He said, whilst grinning with his teeth. 'Sure.' I said while handing him the pack. 'Thanks, Allie.' He giggles.
I turn to face him, shocked. I don't know him, do I? He has short dark hair, beautiful brown eyes, and tan skin. He does look sort of familiar but I definitely haven't met him before. 'Do I know you?' I ask the boy in the red-checked flannel. 'Shit, you probably don't.' He giggled while scratching the back of his neck 'I'm Calum, I'm an old friend if Luke's, I haven't seen him in about 3 months but the last time I saw him he talked about you both and showed me a photo of you which is why I recognised you.'
Heat rushed to my cheeks, tears began to brim my eyelids. I held it together. 'Oh, Luke and I aren't together anymore, he isn't coming here is he?' I said as panic set in. 'I don't think so, I haven't seen him.' Calum said, looking concerned, 'Is everything okay?' He asked.
I look at him, smile and say 'Yeah everything's fine, we broke up a couple of days ago thats all.' He looks at me with pity in his eyes 'I'm sorry. Let's get in there and get fucked up, it will take your mind off it!' He says, stubbing his cigarette out and beginning to stand. 'Okay.' I say with a slight giggle, getting to my feet.
