(Time to shake things up a little ;)) )

Adam's POV

He could hardly keep his eyes off of her today in class. She was giggling and snickering with her friend, and the sound was music to his ears. It was like honey, soft and warm and sweet, slipping through his ears like silk. He wished he was the one to make her laugh like that... to listen to it whenever he liked to. To hold her close to him and never let her go, to run his fingers through her fiery red hair. He wanted it all so badly, and yet he just couldn't have it. He was a professor, though he had only graduated with his degree to teach a year or so ago. This was his first actual teaching job... he couldn't blow it. Not when the school had a strict policy against student-teacher relationships. God, did he hate that more than anything. At least he could still imagine what it would be like, he supposed.

She had caught Adam's eye the first moment she had walked into his classroom the first day. Her smile was warm and inviting, her voice smooth and soft. Her eyes were wide and captivating, and he could get lost in them forever if he really wanted to. She was a lot shorter than him, a foot at least. Her eyes had met his, and Adam swore he felt fireworks go off in the pit of his stomach. He's never felt anything like this before, and he almost never wanted it to end. He had continued with his lesson however, trying to ignore her and those doe eyes that bore into him like nothing else would. When he spoke to her after class today, he couldn't help the flirtatious tones that slipped into his voice either. He shouldn't have done it... but watching her face flush red with embarrassment was just too good not to relish in. Now, as he sits in a small cafe not far from the campus, all he could think about was her. Aurora White, the most intriguing girl he's ever met in his life.

He sipped at his coffee as the door chimes softly, as it had been for a while. It was a rather popular spot for students and teachers alike, since they had the best coffee and pastries throughout the campus. It was a warm and cozy atmosphere, the lighting dimmer and a small gray cat laying on the counter where people ordered their drinks and food. He loved to come here after work, to relax and think. It was the perfect environment... that is, if the person of his thoughts hadn't walked through the door at that very moment. She was wearing a large grey sweater, with a navy blue scarf wrapped around her neck. She accompanied this with a pair of leggings and boots, and Adam found her as beautiful as ever. She had not seen him, much to his dismay. She simply walked to the counter and gave the cashier a friendly smile. She was so polite, and courteous to the woman behind the counter, and it made him grin to himself.

She starts up a friendly conversation with the woman, and the woman seems pleased that someone had taken the time to talk to her. Aurora was all smiles and laughter, and it made Adam feel warm. She felt like home, and love, and sunshine, and everything good in the world. She was like an Angel to him, and yet, his mind screamed at him that what he was thinking, what he was feeling about her was wrong. Sure, it probably was, but at this point he had already fallen for her. And he had fallen harder than ever.

She glances over towards him by chance, and locks eyes with him. Her eyes grow wide and she bites her lip, her face turning beet red. He chuckles lightly, sending a small wave in her direction. There was that adorable blush he loved so much... bright and prominent against her pale freckled skin. A smirk covers his features, and his body betrays him as he sends a wink her way. If her blush could get any brighter after that, it definitely had, and a small squeak-like noise sounds from between her lips. She turns her attention to anything else, the floor, the ceiling, watching her coffee get made, anything. She was embarrassed... and he loved that he was the one to cause it. The cashier hands her her coffee and Aurora thanks her, with a slightly shaky voice to his satisfaction. She glances back at him with a small wave, before she leaves the cafe, her feet travelling a little faster than when she had come in. Maybe he scared her away... but something nagged at him and told him the exact opposite. He wouldn't get his hopes up about it all though. After all, she was his student. And he really liked his job... he didn't want to lose it the first year.

After Adam finishes his coffee, he gathers his things, thanks the cashier, and leaves the building. Aurora was nowhere to be seen, which was a little bit of a disappointment, but he carries on anyways. He couldn't have it all. He begins a walk down the sidewalk, towards his apartment. He could have taken his motorcycle, but he opted not to today. It was nice out, with the leaves falling off the trees and the slight breeze through the air. He hums a small tune as he walks, passing a small park which was popular for students to hang out. He looks around a bit, and sure enough his eyes stumble upon Aurora herself, sitting  under a large oak tree with a book opened in her hands and her coffee at her side. Never has she seemed more happy, more calm. He smiles, and continues walking. Away from her, and away from the temptation she carries for him.
