She ran as fast as her feet would carry her, She pushed past people, there shouts of annoynace of no concern to her terrified being. Her lacing came undone on her boots and so without thinking. She quickly yanked them off ,afraid of stopping for too long. Her hair flew out behind her. She sidestepped onto the grass and started to run through the park. She slipped  in behind a stable adjacent to the park.

Her breathing coming in large gasps. She sobbed and cried. Tessa's head snapped up when she heard a familar thud. How couuld he have found her? Tessa had ran faster than she thought possible. She crept out of the shadows, It was "Snake hands". She decieded to run when he looked away. When she got her chance, she ran headfirst but before she reached open road, his hand flew out and grabbed her long chocolate brown hair, yanking her back and when she tripped her shawl got lost in the rubbish. He grabbed her by the neck and pushed her up against the wall. Her feet dangling above the ground, she gasped for air. She finally saw his ugly face. He had greasy skin, and even gresier hair. His eyes were black empty spaces. No light glinted. Just a vacum of hate.

He looked disgusting. His face held even more scars, trenches, were someone has made their mark. He squeezed harder and looked straight at her. She began to feel faint. She kicked and lashed out, and he seemed wary of her kick but he was learning. Avoiding her lashes he whispered angrily. "Do that again, and I will disobey my orders and cut your pretty little head off myself." Tessa was gasping harder now. "They did tell me you were pretty. How about a kiss before we go?" he mocked and leaned inwards, his eyes closing. Tessa instinctivly bit his lips.

He reared in pain and punched Tessa in the face, Hard. She felt her nose shatter under the force. Then her vision went groggy, Surprisingly she felt no pain. As he dragged her out into the street, she saw someone who looked like ...Eric, being restrained by a crowd of people. The person struggled and cried out, they kicked and reached out. The flames behind her eyes stopped her from shouting his name. Tessa was confused. Then as she was thrown into a carriage, everything went black. Silent.

Tessa felt every bump, yet was unable to force herself to move to a more comfortable position. She could hear but not speak. Her senses were bemused. Unable to focus themselves. She could hear snake hands talk about her. He spat at her feet more than once.

"Monty's bond to be happy. We actually got one" His voice matched his ugly brutes face perfectly. It was deep and scarred. She still could not fully understand what he was saying.

When she knew she was coming round, she moved not one inch. She would wait for her moment.

"I knocked her out pretty good." He grabbed her hair and examined her face. "That knife's realy good, she didn't heal this time" He got a lock of her hair and sliced it with the knife.

When he let go and the carriage stopped, the two men got out. She slowly opened her eyes and felt her face. Although her cheek still bled. Her nose, apart from being caked in mud, was perfectly fine. Tessa could'nt understand it. Why? The one question she needed and answer too. She peaked out of the open door and saw the two men, standing by a shady house. Talking in hushed voices.

She made out one word. "Nephillim"

She had never heard that word spoken, only written. She knew that they were mythological creature, supposedly sent by God. Why were these men talking about that. Before she knew she was doing it, she grabbed Snake hands dagger and slipped out the other door. She had to bite her lips to stop herself from running. She just casually walked. Attracting horrifed looks from middle-class people. She probably looked like a lunatic. Walking around during the day with no shoes and a dagger but she had to find somewhere to go. When she knew she was far away enough She slowly rounded a corner, and crumpled to the floor. The dagger clattering to her side. She sobbed and sobbed. The tears flowly steadily. What was happening?! She was supposed to find her uncle and start a new life. A happy life.

She felt someone slide down the wall beside her put her head on their shoulder. Without looking she knew it was Eric. She clung to his shirt and cried until falling asleep in his arms. He stroked her head and picked her up. Shielding her with his body.

Rebekah tried to take her from him, but even in her sleep she clung to him. When she turned her face and he saw the cut across her cheek and the black eye from snake hands punch he slowly bent and kissed her forehead.
