"Ruth! Ruth! Wake up were going to the toy store!" I was shaken awake. It was mom. "Ugh. Why?" I sighed "Because we have to get something for Tara. Tomorrow is her birthday" I immediately jumped out of bed. "Right! I'll be down soon." I started to pick clothes and do all that. I noticed something moving behind my in my mirror. I turned around and there was nothing there. I started to think, the creature looked like a beautiful doll. She had gorgeous orangy-hazel eyes, her long while dress looked like it wasn't ever stained and couldn't be. It had thin grey stripes, a blue bow that tied around her waist, and four yellow buttons in the chest area, perfect symmetry. I emerged out of my thoughts and quickly finished up.

Me and mom drove off to Toys R' Us since Tara was 7 she'd like Barbies or Littlest Pet Shop, ect. We arrived there and I took some money out of my pocket, twenty dollars. "Sweety, why don't you go and buy yourself something since we're here. When you don't meet me in the Barbie section! Okay darling." I nodded and sped away like a rabbit. I slowed to a walk and went past shelf's towering over me like giants. There was toys nothing but toys, talking ones, eating ones, games, and others. I finally got to my favorite isle, the dolls isle. And not like Barbies and Bratz, like American Girl Dolls and stuff.

I slowly walked down the isle, carefully studying every doll carefully. I noticed one that was different, she didn't look happy at all. Actually she looked rather aggressive. I picked her up, she was extremely light, she had silky black hair, a white dress with thin grey stripes a blue bow that went around her waist and four yellow buttons on her chest. I felt a chill go up my spine remembering the doll in the mirror, they looked identical. I decided I wanted her, even though other dolls were way better. I just wanted her for some reason.

I walked to the Barbie isle noticing that mom had picked out a Barbie and was looking for another, I walked over and picked one out with short purple hair. A black and white striped shirt, and a long white skirt with a paisley pattern.

"How about her, mom?" Mom nodded and I put her in the cart.

As we walked she asked "What did you buy?" I showed her the doll and she cringed. "Wouldn't you like a Baby Alive, or something" I sighed "No mom she's pretty" mom studied her "She doesn't have a price tag or a box" I noticed it too. "Uh, well I want her" mom and I arrived at self check-out "Okay~".

As we checked out we only got charged for the Barbies because we couldn't pay for the other doll. We walked out and surprisingly no alarm. "That's weird. There's no alarm" I smiled "That means she's not from the store! Can I keep her, please!" I begged like a child even though I was  fourteen.

We got home and I played with her and my other dollies. I fell asleep and the next day was dawning on me.
