"You going, Char?" Emma asked, breaking me out of my thought. I watched as Asher leaned against his locker, laughing away with his large group of friends. I don't know why but ever since our awkward encounter I've noticed him so much more.

"Hello? Earth to Charlie." Ryan teased, waving his hand in front of my face. I lost my balance from his large hand blocking my sight and nearly tripped. Ryan caught me before I hit the ground and I blushed in embarrassment, tucking a loose strand of hair behind my ear.

"Don't fall there, Hun." He chuckled, earning  a hard smack on the arm from me. He whined in pain while Emma scrolled through her phone. When we get to my locker I took out a few of my books and closeed it back.

When I turned around, I noticed Asher eyeing me down. A slight smile appeared on his face while he sent me a head nod. I quickly looked away, not wanting him to see my crimson red blushing face.

"So, are you going?" Emma questioned, "You never answered me before." She laughed.

I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion, "Going where?"

"The Friday The Fourteenth Halloween Bash. It's here, at this school, October fourteenth." She replied.

I give her a flat look that read 'no duh' about the October fourteenth part, "It's invite only, Em. I've seen the flyers all over. And everyone's been talking about it. It's hosted by Angela. There's no I'm going to get invited."

"Not unless he does." Emma said, nodding her head in Asher's direction. His attention was averted towards me while the rest of his friends were chatting away. I smiled before turning towards Emma.

"He's been starring for awhile, Emma. It's so embarrassing." I sighed. Memories of our encounter come flooding into my brain. I winced at my ugly appearance and croaky voice. I can't even imagine what he could've been thinking.

"Shut up, Peanut. You know damn well that he cares for you. I bet he's been starring at you like that for weeks, but he just so happened to find you crying in that room and now's his chance to make a move. Am I right?"

I shook my head no, "Actually, you're so wrong. That just sounds like one of those cliché novels every girl is addicted to. And I'm not gonna lie--I love them too."

Emma rolled her eyes and shrugged, "I guess your life is going to turn into one of those then."

"Way to be a third wheel." Ryan said sarcastically. Emma and I both looked at each other, then up at him, totally forgetting he was with us.

"Oops." I laugh.

"I don't give a fuck because Charlie is my best friend." Emma scoffed. She pulled me away from beside Ryan and smashed me into a big best friend bear hug. Ryan fake pouted and I laughed, reaching my hand up to his face up to squeeze his cheek, then place a quick peck on it.

Emma shot me a glare and I gave her a cheeky grin in return, "Don't be jealous. I love you too." I cooed, kissing her on the cheek as well. The bell rung letting us know its third period. Ryan separated from us and headed to his class while Emma and I headed to ours together.

"Speaking of jealous," Emma trailed off. "Hot as fuck over there seems to be checking you out and the snake bitch isn't too happy about it."

I laughed and turned my head in the direction of Asher and Angela. Don't you hear how their names go perfect together. They're meant to be. Just so perfect for each other, right? My laughter dropped as I noticed Asher still starring and Angela snaring at me.

One of Asher's friends shove him in the shoulder and he looked away from me, immediately laughing and walking off with them. Angela scoffed and sped off while I entered class and sat beside Emma.
