Love Lays Bleeding
Chapter 13
When we eventually got home I was a nervous wreck, I wasn't sure whether it was really my father that I saw but I knew he wouldn't give up until he found me.
"Are you ok?" Blake asked opening my door for me and taking my hand as I got out of the car.
"Yes, just a bit freaked out" I answered as we headed into the house. Blake locked the door behind us and led me to the couch where we sat down.
"We could call the cops and tell them that you think you saw him, maybe they could check it out"
"It won't help, they won't catch him" I said honestly, my dad might be crazy but he isn't stupid.
"It's worth a shot, maybe we get lucky"
"Ok, if you think it might help"
Blake took out his cell phone and called the local police department explaining what had happened.
"Their going to check the cemetery and the surrounding area" Blake announced as he hung up.
"Thanks for trying, it really means a lot to me" I said moving closer to Blake and pulling him into a hug. The hug led to a kiss and the kiss led to more interesting things. We made love on the couch forgetting about my dad and everything that was going on. It felt so right being with Blake, it was as if we were meant to be together.
We laid in each other's arms until Blake's stomach rumbled and we realized how late it was. I made us dinner and we sat on the couch eating and talking.
"You should go back to school" I told Blake, he needed to finish school so that he could get a good job and get the life he always dreamed of.
"I'm not leaving you alone for a second until he is caught" Blake replied taking a bite of his spaghetti.
"Then I'll go back to school with you"
"Are you sure you're up for that?" Blake asked looking surprised that I would want to go back to school with everything that was going on.
"Yes, we can't let my dad ruin our lives"
"When do you want to go back?"
"Tomorrow, maybe if I pretend that I was a normal teenager then I'll start feeling like one" I joked trying to make light of the subject.
"Ok" Blake agreed hesitantly obviously not so sure about my idea but giving in to what I wanted. I know he loves me but I can't let him ruin his life for me, he has to finish school and if that meant that I had to face the world outside then that is what I'll do.
After we finished eating we quickly did the dishes and then I went to the bathroom to take a shower. I let the water run while I undressed and got in when the water was warm enough. I just finished washing my hair when I heard a knock at the door. I spun around almost slipping to see Blake standing in the doorway.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you" He said looking angry at himself for doing such a stupid thing.
"No it's ok, I'm just a bit on edge" I replied smiling at him.
"Well in that case can I maybe join you and make you forget about all your problems?" He asked teasingly.
"That sound's really tempting but tell me how you are going to do that?" I asked playing along.
"I'd rather show you" He replied taking off his clothes and stepping into the shower with me.
He was right, for the second time that day he made me forget about all my troubles. He pressed his lips against mine and all my worries were forgotten. We stayed in the shower until the hot water started running out then we got dressed and got into bed.
I fell asleep in Blake's arm and when I woke up he was still holding me. It felt amazing waking up in the arms of the guy I love, I never thought it would happen, I never thought I would find somebody who loved me for who I am. I checked the time and saw that we would be late for school if we didn't get up right now.
"Hey, wake up" I said as I placed a soft kiss on Blake's forehead. He moaned under his breath and then his eyes fluttered open and focused on me. The corner of his mouth pulled up into a smile as he slipped his arms around me and pulled me so that I was lying on top of him. He pressed his lips against mine almost making me forget about school.
"We have to go to school" I said between kisses.
"I'd rather stay in bed with you" Blake complained.
"Me too but I really think we should go" I replied as I got up from the bed. Blake complained but got out of bed and started getting dressed.
We ate breakfast and headed to school. I was nervous about what the kids might have heard and that they would know who I am but I wasn't going to let Blake throw his life away for me so I pretended to be ok. Blake parked his car in the parking lot and we walked into the school holding hands. There were a lot of kids staring at us but I wasn't sure if it was because they knew who I was or because me and Blake were holding hands and they were curious.
