By the time day 3 rolled around I was a nervous wreck. Kyle refused to tell me his plans and all I could do was wait and try to keep it together.

Earlier in the night Kyle had woken me up in my sleep and whispered in my ear to meet him in the greenhouse exactly at noon. I barely slept the whole night I didn't know what to expect.

So there I was, waiting in the green house for the boy I loved but couldn't be with. What was going to happen to us? To me?

I heard the door open and I spun around to greet Kyle but was met by Madison.

"You thought I was stupid, didn't you?" she smiled but it looked more like a grimace. A black gun was gripped tightly in her hand I slowly backed away.

"I-I don't know what you're talking about," I stuttered.

"Don't act like I'm stupid you slimy bitch. Now you're going to pay - with your life," she growled and pointed the gun at my face. My heart stopped in my chest and it was as if time moved in slow motion. Her finger on the trigger, ready to press down.

But then out of no where Kyle appeared behind her and snapped her neck. Her eyes rolled into the back of her head and her body crumbled forward onto the ground. Kyle gave her lifeless body one last cold stare, spit on her, and then ran towards me.

"I'm so sorry, she heard me tell you to meet me last night and my plans got fucked up," he breathed into my hair as I collapsed in his arms, tears flowing down my cheeks.

"I thought she was going to kill me," I sobbed between sharp breaths. Kyle pulled back and held my face in his hands, wiping the tears away.

"I would never let anyone hurt you. Come on, I've packed us bags," he smiled and led me to two duffel bags bursting with clothes.

"Where are we going?" I asked, the realization of Madison's dead body hitting me. What would happen when the someone found her? When the police were called?

Kyle smiled at me and placed two one way tickets to Bali in my hands. "We're leaving this shit town and all of its shit people behind."

"What about M...what about her?" I pointed to the body. Kyle handed me a bag and grinned, pulling a match out of his pocket.

"Last night I doused this place in gasoline. As soon as we get out the door we're going to watch this baby burn," he said as he lead me out. Then he stopped me outside and looked into my eyes. "You ready?"

I nodded. "With you I'm ready for anything." Kyle kissed me hard and threw the match into the house and we ran as fast as we could to the other side of the street.

The house burst into flames, swallowing up any evidence of our crime or that we lived there. Kyle held my hand as we watched the horrors of our old life end, and the sweet feeling of our new life beginning.
