I could hear some grunts coming behind me so I turn and see Hoseok signaling Jimin to leave with his hand. I look back to see Jimin shrugging while raising his eyebrows as though teasing Hoseok about walking in when he did. That boy has some horrible timing.
Hoseok holds on to my hand before scowling at Jimin.
"Jiminie. Leave. If you don't, your going to get a spanking when we get back. Hard."
Jiminie? Spanking? Hard?
"Yah Hobie my bad, i've got some horrible timing." Jimin said while laughing loudly resembling that of a somewhat fit chipmunk. Hobi was a strange nickname but one that oddly fit him.
"I Just didn't know you were meeting with a girl. I feel a bit left out." He said pouting. The whole beanie with a hoodie on only added to his cuteness.
Hoseok swiftly took off one of his shoes and pelted it at Jimin who dodged with incredible accuracy. I just stood there like a gaping fish. He threw a shoe at his bandmate.
"Jimin-ah, the next one is going to connect. I promise."
"i got it, I got it. But i'm telling everyone."
With that Jimin ran off leaving Hoseoks white converse right in front of the door. I continued to look down too embarrassed to make eye contact with him now that it was just the two of us.
"I'm sorry about that.." Hoseok said it with a voice lower than usual and it made me turn in surprise. He too was looking down as though he was embarrassed and it didn't make me less anxious either.
"I just really wanted to show you how much I cared. I'm not really close with any other girl in this school." He paused and looked at me with such intensity that I had a hard time believing he was the same guy who just threw a shoe at his bandmate moments ago. "I want us to be friends. I really do."
His eyebrows narrowed and lips pressed together.
He cared about me. I could tell by the way he spoke to me and held me in his arms as though I would break if he let go. Even though he's one of the schools most sought after guy, he talked to me like I was a close friend. I, who had no friends, finally felt joy and it was thanks to a guy who I had admired for the longest.
I looked at him again and this time I smiled. Seeing my expression lighten up, so did his. His eyes had this special gleam to them and his dimple was obvious from the way he was smiling.
He was a one of a kind guy. He gave me hope and within the near 30 minutes I'd been with him, I felt like I knew him for a lifetime. Sure, seeing him every day at the exact same time and basically drooling over him dancing may have helped me feel closer, but I believe that being around him like this made all the difference.
Now I wanted to follow my heart. I wanted to do things and make friends no matter how hard. Being around Hoseok taught me that, and I was beyond grateful.
"I promise i'll come everyday." And somehow the smile on his face got even bigger. That's when I took the first step, and reached on my tippy toes and left a kiss on his cheek. He instantly put his hand there and blushed furiously as I gave him a wink of my own before walking off.
"See you tomorrow."
I walked out of the classroom with the loud noise in my chest not getting any more quiet. What i did was quite risky, but I was proud of myself. Proud that I was able to do something so daring, and proud of myself for making friends with such an amazing guy. I definitely look forward to tomorrow when I will meet my dancing hope.
