Sincerity is something that should always be questioned

Doubted, because you can never be sure of its

authenticity

The terms in which a sincere feeling is given

          In moments of convenience

          In moments of satisfaction

          In moments of false appreciation

Moments which never last and are too quickly forgotten

To believe in sincerity is to believe in its source

But humanity's trust is suspect

There are hidden preconceptions in our peer's

reflection of us

          Out of love

          Out of hate

Out of not being able to hurt our feelings

Or being too quick to do so

Sincerity can't be trusted

so you must sincerely know yourself

But sometimes even that can be a lie

Possibly the most dangerous

of all
