New Friend

The smell of the flowers, how the wind blows through her face, and how the butterflies fly freely made her smile. She looked back at Byunghyun who was just watching her with his back leaning on the motorcycle while his hands were inside his pockets.

"You like it?" he asked.

"I love it." SeulChan smiled.

That time, all she cared about was the flowers, the butterflies, the sky, and being with Byunghyun again. All of the sad things were forgotten.

"You really don't remember the place?" The lad asked as he walked toward the girl.

"It's kind of familiar, but I don't remember going here before." SeulChan stated.

"We used to go here before." he started, taking a walk with her. "Sometimes, you will tell me to take you here because you feel so sad."

She remained silent as the boy continued. "And we would spend our time here when our parents went somewhere. "

"Those memories were unforgettable. I still have them on my mind."

"So, I heard you were in California with your mom and dad..." she changed the certain topic.

"Well, I was asked to join the battle so, I went back here in Seoul with my dad. I also heard that you volunteered. Well my mom is still in California." Byunghyun explained.

"Oh, okay..." she nodded her head.

"I just realized, you really changed a lot. Your looks. Your hair, we have the same color." SeulChan chuckled.

"You did too. You used to be a cute, sweet girl but now, you look like a badass." he joked.

"Geez, you didn't change." she laughed. "I missed the way you laugh, you know?" The lad said.

"You're so dramatic. Man up, I mean, why did you take me here?"

"You told me to. And this is the place which is quiet, and peaceful. So, I took you hear." he looked at her and smiled.

"Can we go back now? It's already 7:00 PM, and the curfew is 8:00 PM." SeulChan suggested. "Oh, right..."

It was already 8:35 when they got back to the building.

"The elevators and escalators are deactivated at this moment, do we have to take the stairs to go back down to our room." Byunghun explained while he looked at the big wall clock. "It's already 8:35 and the look-outs should be guarding every single door of the room. "

"And, how can we get back there? You said, there are guards or whatever you call them." she asked as she adjust her jacket, since it's getting colder. "I don't want to get scolded by Onew." she wailed.

"Shhh... People might hear us." he warned placing an index finger on his lips. "Okay, okay... So, what do we do?" she whispered instead.

"Let's just go down to our room. Let's be quiet, and don't let the watchers see us."

They were already at the corridor until SeulChan felt something. She looked to her side and saw the sleeping watcher. Beside him was a device with numbers 0-9 sticking right to the wall.

"Wait," SeulChan whispered to Byunghun as she pushed him back a little. "What?" he asked.

"We can't go to our room." the girl said shaking her head. "How come?"

"You see that device beside sleepy head? Those numbers? It means there are laser beams here and to get rid of them, we need to type the password." she explained.
